Why I don’t like to talk to people

happens all the time. I mean just bc I'm having a conversation on a topic (which probably might lead to a debate) with you, it doesn't mean I'm arguing with you or necessarily hate you. I always have to apologize in the end when all I wanted to do was talk to someone.

I do this unconsciously but there isn't any goal of winning an argument. That's an exercise in futility. It's just the tone I acquired from Reddit and other forums over the years.

Most often, you have to be choosey. A lot of people aren't built for those kind of conversations.

I went a whole school year without saying one word to my peers. I'm pretty anti-social in real life and I am either too angry or too anxious to talk to people. Either it ends up in a arguement or a awkward conversation.

it happens to me as well, im tired of talking about music, books, movies just to see whose taste is 'better' - especially when i talk to guys. all i want is just a casual conversation, about recent events, feelings, thoughts - nothing specific. i realized that people often talk to others only for their own benefits - winning a debate, making themselves feel better, its never about the other person.

Most ppl are pretty ignorant or manipulative in the world sadly...

I’d much rather have a friendly conversation than a debate

I feel the same way sometimes. I do enjoy a respectful debate though.

I wanna talk about interests. I wanna hear about YOU. I miss actual conversation.
