Empty house. Stray kids couldn't even out sell txt even after getting a 1 on bb200. Frontloaded flop

Doesn't change the fact that a 4th gen bg did it before them, even when it was bps first full album in 4y.

Stray kids did superm type bundling to get that number 1. They shipped us versions albums to Korean addresses. They are tanking now. All of their sales were frontloaded. Txt and nct last year sold more and were charting for weeks without going number 1. Txt charted for longer this year and are selling more.

do you mean to say that getting a #1 on charts is pretty much having luck when you release?
you can have bigger numbers than someone who got a #1, but if you had tougher competition, you won't be as lucky?

Stop the bullshit. The accusation is a lie and I can actually show you screenshots of multiple groups with the same "counting towards Billboard" on stores if you want and it doesn't mean anything.
NCT and TXT last year had US distribution, they don't.
And they only have 2 versions being sold on US stores right now. The limited version is out of stock, since they were limited. And they didn't sell their individual jewel cases on US, just korean stores. How can they compete with TXT's 9 versions? It's not the fairest comparison for longevity.

Well, good amount of units is very important, but luck is too. Imagine like releasing an album on Taylor Swift's week, let's say. They can sell 400k and It's a bigger debut than 99% of the industry, but the act would still be blocked.
For BORN PINK, not only the sales, but timing in on their side.

TXT had us distribution for their cheap versions that they revealed before the release of the album (meaning their first week sales were already a mix of 9 versions), Stray Kids not only revealed their jewel case after the release of oddinary but it also didn't get distributed in the us, all of SKZ's sales on Billboard are from the three normal priced versions.
the difference in their debut spotify streams (two bsides on oddinary literally got more than gbgb) shows the difference in their US fandom size nicely

that's interesting!
so like getting a #1 on spotify global is also being lucky with the competition? since you can be lucky and you don't need that many streams (units) to reach the position or you're unlucky and there's a big competition at the top?

you guys still coping hard and making up that Koreans purchased the us versions when they couldn’t. Originally it was “ skz are flops in Korean and they only have international fans “ the narrative changes fast

Right, so blinks understand nuisances but they will only use them to explain BP being blocked but it doesn't apply when they want to mock other groups that had bigger numbers but released on a super busy week

You don't understand that the kpop market in 2022 is different than 2020?
Considering every artist doubled or tripled sales during the pandemic, it's not surprising that there's variance in the numbers. It's also not surprising that SKZ grew - they were pandemic-perfect: lots of content, social media friendly, engaged friendly fandom, cool MVs and songs. Many of the artists that grew the most over the pandemic period were the artists with lots of social content, when people were looking for something to do on lockdown.
Plus, it all depends on who else is releasing.
BP had 110k units, which was only #2 because the top album had 171k units.
SKZ also had 110K units, but no one larger released that week and they took the top.
If BP had launched in that time, they too probably would have had double or triple the sales. I mean this is the reason it's clown levels that SM decided to release 127 the same time as the BP cb when it would have been very easy to move it back week or forward a week or two to take the win. They pushed Sticker up a month last year to accommodate other releases.
