Did Min Heejin betray SM by leaving them for Hybe?

  • After she moved to Hybe, she rebranded Bighit into Hybe, designed their new building and now created NewJeans who directly compete with Aespa. Why couldn’t she stay at SM and help them the way she’s helping Hybe now, especially since she already worked at SM for 17 years?

  • wtf betray? sm is notorious for underpaying everyone, switching jobs for a promotion ain't that deep

You are giving her way too much credit

  • She wasn’t that important in sm. Probably her payment wasn’t that much either. In hybe she literally has her own label and controls almost everything about the group not just the art/creative work side. When she was in SM she wasn’t one of the big names there and merely a visual creative director of some comebacks as you can see sm had a&r and other creative teams besides her. No matter how much she “loved” sm, she can’t be stupid to reject hybe’s offer.

  • she was overworked in SM and only an employee whereas in Hybe she is the CEO of hybe's sub label

  • I know you're just a child, but there is no loyalty in business. If SM properly valued her she would still be there don't you think?

  • “betrayal” lmao you srsly think companies have a family relationship.

she just found a better job. shocker, she might leave hybe one day too. 🙀

  • Its just a job. She didn't sign a blood oath to SM to call it a betrayal.

  • Lol, idk who she is but employees leave companies all the time and move to other companies for many reasons. Maybe she just got opportunities at Hybe that she could never get at SM, maybe she just preferred Hybe's working environment over SM's, maybe she just wanted a change and decided to move on.

Who cares why, it's not a betrayal to switch jobs and companies otherwise the majority of the world are betrayers.
