Why do people think Karina ever had the same popularity Wonyoung has now?

I'm seeing people say Wy is not an it girl and just has the same hype Karina had last year and how it's too early??
If that was true she wouldn't be getting solo fashion gigs, being the fact of products or booking cfs constantly.

I have never heard anyone say that. But presuming they did, Wonyoung is literally a wall among 4th gen girlies and that's WITHOUT a big 4 company backing her. Not sure how Karina would actually hold up without the SM tag on her name.
