  • Nope and they'll be lucky if they chart like twice even.

Blackpink are the only south korean gg that have been able to keep their digital success this long.

    Sistar?

Twice fell even harder than people thought they would tbh, nj and ive will probably chart better. And judging by sistar seems Ive will be very very consistent. Nj also have a good direction and marketing, seems ador really knows what to do with them

  • Blinks find some new ways to cope

It will always be hilarious how the biggest group got blocked by 2 rookie groups

Rookies have more advantage than blackpink in korea. New shiny toys. It'll be a sight when these girl groups won't even be able to chart as good as twice when they become old.

As if they weren't blocking them on some platforms themselves, on top of blocking paks. BP just showing they still got it 6 years into their career, smashing with english song and 0 promo vs strong competition

  • Even SNSD had a better 6th year than BP lel

  • I predict you will already grow up and quit kpop 6 years later so you wouldn't care if they do well or not ^^

  • REALLY hard to say. Kpop internationally is in a major bubble right now with ridiculous amounts of records being broken and insane numbers

NJ and IVE would need that insanity to continue and actually grow in the next 6 years for that to happen.

If the kpop trend dies off by then, no chance.

Now suddenly it's english song lel

For spotify records it's korean song

  • A ridiculously dumb thread. Is there a psychic around here? Lol

  • hybe only pushes their rookies hard the first years, and then the quality of their comebacks goes down, by the 6th year if they give them passable songs I see them with good sales but regular or bad digitally.

  • now how are people supposed to know this..? lol but is not that hard to be consistent, Sistar has been consistent until their disbandment, 9 consecutive no. 1 hits, is also a group from starship so unless SS mess it badly, IVE should had some good consistency too, maybe not up to sistar standards but good enough

People already said RV's Phycho in their 6th year was a huge hit, SNSD's IGAB in their 6th year almost got into top 10 yearly and thats with a disjointed song

Why are you acting like after 3 years most idols are nugus lol

  • It’s exactly in their 6th year so idk what history you’re trying to rewrite. They debuted in 2014 and Psycho was released in the last week of 2019 and had its whole run in 2020, did we really have to spell it out

It’s still not released in its 6th year…they literally debuted in August 2014…. Do the math…

  • It’s still not released in its 6th year…they literally debuted in August 2014…. Do the math…

do you know how maths work….. rv turned 5 yo in august 2019, so from august 2019 to august 2020 that’s literally their 6th year lmao, and psycho was released during that period. how does it feel to clown yourself that hard :clown:

  • Who knows if they'll chart as well then. For now they're charting well and selling well so that's the most important thing anyway. Hopefully they'll stay consistent but if anything, they can't take these successes from IVE and NJ

Damn the ignorance… Psycho was released in late 2019 (so it’s their 5th year) and they promoted for the first months of 2020, but they celebrated their 6th year on the 1ST OF AUGUST OF 2020… do you understand?

Red Velvet celebrating COMPLETING their 6th year in August of 2020. Therefore August 2019 through August 2020 was DURING their sixth year.

when you celebrate your 6th birthday, that means you’re already 6 yo and entering your 7th year of birth. being in your 7th year doesn’t mean you’re 7 yo, it literally means you’re in the middle of your 7th year, because more than 6 years have already passed since you came into existence, and logically it’s impossible for you to ever be in your 6th year anymore. It’s already passed and you can’t be inside something that’s already passed, dumdum

So from august 2019 to 2020 rv were in their 6th year. They officially reached the end of their 6th year in august 2020, and starting from september 2020 (or more precisely from the 2nd of august 2020, since their anniversary is the 1st of august) they were in their 7th year

    do you understand? 🤡

By that logic then Blackpink was in their 6th year in August from 2021 to 8th August of 2022…. So by following this logic the Pink Venom (released August 19th) is already in their 7th year…

  • When did "maths" become a word? And I see many of you can't do simple ones.

  • Why are Blinks targeting rookies?

What a low blow! Blinks sunk so low.

  • By that logic then Blackpink was in their 6th year in August from 2021 to 8th August of 2022…. So by following this logic the Pink Venom (released August 19th) is already in their 7th year…

yes that’s technically correct that bp is in their 7th year now, but since their anniversary is still very recent there’s a certain leniency there when people say they’re in their 6th year. after all their 6th year just ended like weeks ago and they’re not suddenly so much older than 6yo right now lol, and it’s not egregious to think of them as around 6yo still

but for psycho’s case the time lag was much greater and there’s just no justification to argue against people saying it was released in their 6th year, even if the year was 2019 which was 5 years after 2014. that’s why you were clowned so hard but op wasn’t. it’s not rocket science lmao

you got clowned so hard and there are still excuses. That 1 week you latched on to put BP as a group in their 7th year doesn't change the fact there is another gg that did better than them in that period of their careers and this is what the debate you quoted was about.

  • Who?

Girls Generation, they released I Got A Boy in their 6th year. I Got A Boy topped Gaon Monthly and no.13 on the yearly chart. It was also their most successful song internationally and is one of Kpop's most iconic song.

Imo a lot of groups will still do well in their 6th year, 6 years is young in Kpop these days

  • Lol this thread is showing the different standards bp is held on, so rv was in their 6th year but we can’t use the same energy for bp?

  • Will bp even still gonna be around to see ive n nj reach their sixth year? All of you are so weird over the smallest things.

  • In 6 years New Jean's youngest member will be 20. As long as they keep making good music and grow as artists, they'll be fine.

  • Why are Blinks so pressed over some rookies lol I could not have predicted this at all

  • hybe only pushes their rookies hard the first years, and then the quality of their comebacks goes down, by the 6th year if they give them passable songs I see them with good sales but regular or bad digitally.

hybe is not one company. how many times you have to be reminded? new jeans is mhj's first ever project. i'm 100% sure with you, they will be taken care of very well.
