I'm annoyed at ifans mentioning JoKwon in everything Key does

Let me start by saying that I have no problem with queer artists and their work. I would never discriminate or be against any of my fav artists coming out as queers.

But this whole forceful projection on someone and then assuming they MUST want to work together.

What do Jokwon and Key have in common musically? Artiscally? They are not even friends.

I would say it's not a big deal that people are assuming Key is queer, except now we know how that scripts play out. People assign a sexuality to someone then hate them if they don't conform to it. We all saw what happened to Heechul when he dated a woman.

It's freaking beyond annoying

They are both great individually artistically.

Though I do agree with you that people should stop assuming anyone's sexuality and talk about their relationships like that. Celebrities are humans, their personal lives aren't ours to comment on. Not for our entertainment and speculation.

Look at my last paragraph in the op

In the past I did not see anything wrong with people assuming idols sexuality. To assume they are not queer is same as assuming they are straight which is still an assumption and projection.

What I don't like is how people turn agaisnt the artist when they are not what they assumed to be.

I liked and listened to Mika before he came out and nothing changed in how I feel about him since he came out. Except I would like him to do more music again and thats how I feel with Key.

part of was that, part of it was bc everyone assumed all his interactions with women have been platonic bc he is gay.

Suddenly all of his past friendships with women went into question.

Considering that Key also has alot of girlfriends which people assume platonic relationship with in the same manner, I could see another meltdown if he is not gay.
