Did IU became the biggest singer in Korea because of Kakao privilege?

  • Popularity, influence and success, there is no bigger artist in the last decades, male or female (IN Korea)

Like, she has 3x the amount of hits as any other act in korea have ever had, and she's not even thirty years old yet.

Success wise BTS are way more successful than her in Korea. IU is definitely more popular and has more hits. Also I believe BTS brand power is bigger than her

Thats why i said in korea. Domestically, in korea itself, none beats IU. Taking overseas into account, ofc there is no bigger act than BTS.

    Not in Korea.

The only act that comes anywhere near IU is Bigbang. The ULs are the proof.

BTS is the international star and in Korea that success has lead to great name recognition even among demographics who generally don't listen to K-pop at all.

But IU is the Digimon-Hegemon who is listened to cutting across Kpop/non k-pop, age groups etc. Her CFs being ubiquitous everywhere from streets to air ways is well attested.

But anyway this thread is not about who is the strongest brand in Korea, but whether IUs success is due to company privilege.

In that both BTS and IU, has no such thing, instead it is they who made their companies successful.

You say IU has more hits and more popular in Korea, then still say BTS is way more successful?

    How does that add up?

I literally stated that she is the most successful singer in KOREA in the title, and that user probably thinks I'm talking about worldwide achievements. If wasn't for BTS's international popularity they would barely make any noise in SK.
