The only act that comes anywhere near IU is Bigbang. The ULs are the proof.
BTS is the international star and in Korea that success has lead to great name recognition even among demographics who generally don't listen to K-pop at all.
But IU is the Digimon-Hegemon who is listened to cutting across Kpop/non k-pop, age groups etc. Her CFs being ubiquitous everywhere from streets to air ways is well attested.
But anyway this thread is not about who is the strongest brand in Korea, but whether IUs success is due to company privilege.
In that both BTS and IU, has no such thing, instead it is they who made their companies successful.

I literally stated that she is the most successful singer in KOREA in the title, and that user probably thinks I'm talking about worldwide achievements. If wasn't for BTS's international popularity they would barely make any noise in SK.
