is IVE already a popular group or trendy group right now?

I am wondering why the fuck they are doing well every comeback? Like it is understandable for global, but for kchart ,they just doing better comeback after comeback? Group like Twice who is more popular than them flopped on the first day.

They are a popular group. Number 2 at the moment behind Blackpink. They'll surpass them soon though, Blackpink probably won't release anything for another 3 years after Born Pink and they'll probably disband anyway.

I'm a dive and I came to the realization just this comeback that IVE is not just a trendy girl group anymore.

Even now as I watch After Like's performance on the charts both domestically and internationally I am left in wonder how on earth it's managing to do so well in spite of being what I would consider a totally mid song. Not to mention the insane number of album sales.

It feels both good and bad.

If 3 consecutive top hits in Korea and #23 on global spotify + us charting + 1m sales for a single doesnt prove they are popular literally no other 4th gen group is either

If people come just for the music, they are trendy

But if they come cuz of the girls, then they are popular

wide appeal - every member is pretty and have unique charms and they music is pop at its finest, they dont need a concept

they are the top 4th gen group right now and 4th gen in general is surpassing 3rg gen so it's not crazy to call them top group

Kakao has another granddaughter .. Weeekly.. But they aren't killing it.

Apink are daughters, but they are no IU

So Kakao other than the money is irrelevant.. IVE Success is its own or Starships.

Kakao M is not an idol company in its genes, even though they not have bought others as subsidiaries. That's they aren't same as the Big 4.

they're def popular now, leading 4th gen

although ngl they're the most underwhelming top group in Kpop for me, they're just lacking any standout talent whatsoever. No great dancers, no great singers. Only 2-3 members are even average skill in those areas.

I would say they're popular. The biggest question is how long this will last but hey the moment deserves to be enjoyed.

If they move on charts like Sistar, which seem likely since they already have 3 consecutive hits in Korea, then it's until their disbandment lol wouldnt be counting on them flopping any soon, not when there's no other 4th gen gg charting as good as them overseas and when they're selling 1m with a single that have ugly cover
