How did IVE surpass Stray Kids as most GLOBAL group so fast?

    They surpassed Skz last 4th gen record and aespa already outsold their physical album too. Why can’t bgs keep up?

    Because people listen to their music just because its good, not because they are their stans

    Everytime I open this section people are comparing Stray Kids to a different group

    because ive has casual fans too meanwhile skz only have hardcore stans that will mass stream their songs 24/7

    Because the bar was low. It is funny the only thing 4th gen boygroups had over 4th generation girlgroups getting taken away from them this year. 4th generation girlgroups are doing better than 4th generation boygroups in korea as well as internationally.

    IVE released a single, Stray Kids a mini with 7 songs all of which charted well, some better than any other 4th gen bg's title track. Obviously their streams are going to be divided more among the songs on the album.


    listen I'm not going to bash IVE like you losers do every moment SKZ are mentioned, I wish them luck, but even the idea they have surpassed SKZ based on something as stupid as this, is simply hilarious.

    Some groups have a bad experience on Spotify If K-pop stans decide to hate a comeback, like we have been seeing, and there are groups in my mind that could end up like that, judging their b-sides streams. On the other hand, Stray Kids do consistently well due the support of both a dedicated fandom and casual interest. It makes their whole discography, along with the main singles, have high streams and It's a notable feature most groups don't have.


    Someone posted on another thread Stray Kids charted in the spotify of over 50 countries. This is massive. Globally, they are clear ahead of other 4th generation groups that have a more concentrated popularity on less countries.

    IVE is smashing everywhere. They are the longest charting group on global AM music right after BTS. They aren’t playing on the level of 4th Gen alone.

    And I see people are back to the excuse that stray kids has hardcore or zombie streamers all year round, every day of the year… whatever helps most of you sleep at night from the reality. :pepe-cop:
