Nah, I don't care about charts. As long as I enjoy the music, that's most important to me. Kpop fans are a different breed though. They NEED their faves to be "successful" or else they feel like failures. What a sad position to willingly put yourself in.

I feel like it should be obvious that different groups are given different measurements of flop.

If fans proclaim their group to be the one top and constantly boast about being number one then that is the standard of success that they will be held to.

Likewise, Aespa's Girls is in the top 20 on melon, an achievement that so many other groups would die for, but still every one says that Aespa flops. Why? Because mys proclaimed Aespa to be the leaders of 4th gen and digital monsters after Next Level happened.

That's just how it goes.
