I'm very frustrated. Since lounge is dead anyway let me rant.
So we work in a govt hospital where patient is load is really really crazy! and this rainy season literally quadrupled the patient load. Last year due to covid and all the recruitment of new residents was delayed nation wide.they were basically forced to either join covid workforce or stay at home. most of them used the later option. We (the already recruitment residents literally did work of 2 batches in hopes that next year new batch will come and will help us in sharing the burden.
Next year came and our beloved junior batch came. (their admission literally got delayed for 1 year). Now you would think my problems are solved?? Hell no. it's been 3months and they haven't learnt a single thing? like how? on top of that every other day one of them disappears claiming to be depressed (cause? can't handle seeing death? like fuck you are doctor you should have thought this through? your absence from work isn't gonna save any lifes! other claim to be very overburdened and find residency very exhausting! again dude you should have googled this Residency in india or any other countries is one of most difficult job in the world!
i think this gen z of medico are really taking mental health to another level. I recently praised of govt step towards raising concern for mental health of residents. but that doesn't give you permission to literally leave everything in hanging. Your lack of interest really have immediate effect. we already are fighting with lack of staff and now those who are selected after passing such a tough national level exam for what?? It's just baffling to me that a 4-5 residents among a batch claiming to be so severely affected mentally that they just don't care about their patients condition. Rip Hippocrates oath.
Tbh it's just bs to avoid work untill their junior batch comes. I might sound like a ignorant person here but fuck all this. You should google about a profession you are commiting to.
Please ignore this.
