3 VENUE CANDIDATES FOR BTS GLOBAL CONCERT BUSAN OCTOBER 2022

ARMYs are super-excited knowing that BTS will have their global concert as a part of their official duty as the bidding ambassador for World Expo 2030 Busan. The committee expect that almost 100,000 people will attend the biggest event in Busan. Therefore, they are choosing three largest places that have become the venue candidate for BTS global concert 2022 in Busan.

3 Venue Candidate for Biggest BTS Global Concert 2022 in Busan

1. Busan Asiad Main Stadium

Opened in September 2001, Asiad Main Stadium is one of the biggest venues that can be a perfect candidate for the BTS Global Concert 2022 in Busan. The stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies and athletics events of the 2002 Asian Games. Besides, it was used for the 2002 FIFA World Cup matches.

However, the stadium capacity is only 53,769. As the committee predicted that there would be 100,000 people attending the biggest BTS concert in Busan, Asiad Main Stadium might not accommodate the needs.

2. Samnak Ecological Park

The largest park in Busan functions as Busan’s lungs, providing different charms between seasons. Located at the banks of Nakdonggang River and within the Nakdonggang Estuary Eco-park’s Migratory Bird Habitat, Samnak Ecological Park offers various facilities, such as grassy and wildflower field, biking and walking paths, athletics facilities, spacious parking area, and more.

With an area of 4,722,000 m2, the park can surely accommodate more than 100,000 people. Therefore, Samnak Ecological Park is one of the strongest venue candidates for the biggest BTS Global Concert in October 2022 in Busan.

3. Bukhang Port

On July 27, ‘World Expo 2030 Busan’ Twitter account posted a thread about Bukhang Port. The thread says that “Busan North Port, Bukhang, is a symbolic pier with a rich 150-year history and has the advantage of hosting a World EXPO without damaging the environment.”

Moreover, Bukhang Port is also an icon of hope for a brighter future, especially for Korea’s industrialization. With the story and capacity of Bukhang Port, it is possible that BTS Global Concert 2022 will also be held in this place.
