Why is SNSD outcharting aespa with NO promo?

    Obviously don’t get me started on how a 2-week old rookie like NewJeans is outcharting aespa with 3 whole top 10 debut tracks simultaneously, but can someone explain why is a 15 years-old 2nd generation group like SNSD effortlessly outcharting aespa on all charts with NO promo? Aren’t aespa supposed to be the current trendy national gg who started promoting their last album since May for 3 months?

    Imagine being this cocky and deluded for group that’s only a year old. Your faves are granny generation fans, if snsd never paved the way for you faves they wouldn’t even exist.


    And yeah if a 15 year old group from 2 gens ago is out charting the supposed NGG (can’t believe MYs even thought this when they don’t have a quarter of the history and success of BP and Twice) then it’s a problem.

    Music shows and live performances in general the main reasons why songs rise up charts. The performance might become buzz worthy, a fan cam could go viral, covers go viral, seeing the song makes more enjoyable and so on. It’s the same for 90% of groups and Aespa benefitted massively from fan cams going viral and multiple covers on TikTok because their biggest hit NL wasn’t that big at first, it got going a week or so later


    Now compare that to maybe 30 sec total of an incomplete song played on variety show. That’s barely any promo for the song. The rest of the show is about the group. Snsd trend multiple articles on naver and all are about the show they’re on, not the song or any of its achievements.

    cos snsd with 15 years is by far more loved by the public than Aespa


    they are more talented, have better stage and look like total Divas even being over 30
