if there is one thing yg does right; it's investing in BP's MVs

pretty much what the title says

not a blink, but there is no top group with the same MV quality as BP

i watched the teaser on some twitter account & have to say, the director/stage PD/... knew what they were doing.

personally don't like bps songs, but when YG gives bp a cb (once in a blue moon), they INVEST

wish some of the other big companies took a lesson

Yes, their MVs are always gorgeous.

sometimes i wonder if it's because their creative team is just more talented or if they just haven't become lazy like others, who work for top groups? either way, yg knows how to make MVs

I've always thought that if you can listen to the song without the video then the music is worthwhile.

Also, a side note, some might say that so much money is spent on the music video to take focus away from other, more lacking aspects.

i already said i don't like bp songs,

& agree that what they lack in the quality of their music, they make up with their big budgeted MVS imo

but that wasn't the OP of this thread

ofcourse you should enjoy the song without the MV, certainly now that yt is becoming a less important platform, but companies should take some tips from yg. making a good MV can really help with the hype of cbs & it's clear many top companies are lacking in that department.
