smtm's quality had gone down a lot before smtm9; if you think it's any indicator of skill still, I assume you think the pinnacle of rap is yelling a mix of nonsense and slurs with a boring flow and the most obnoxious gimmick you can imagine. most of the things that happen on the show are an insult to the genre

While he made a small mistake due to nervousness the real reason he was eliminated is that he's just not a personality that belongs on smtm. He's too humble and well-mannered in a show that's for a good part driven by interpersonal drama. Plus he's an idol and smtm viewers and participants alike tend to have a prejudice against them. He also performed a boom bap track instead of trap, the genre which literally everyone was doing and which was trendy at the time (I mean it still is).

If you have actually watched the show and performances of past seasons you'd know that rap talent is far from a priority on the show. You can survive several rounds if you can come up with a stupid gimmick that stands out, and have a loud and exaggerated personality. I was cringing throughout 95% of smtm9.

It's entertainment first and foremost.

it's especially low because Changbin has talked about how he had anxiety so bad that he could barely stand (you could even see his legs shaking...)

it's pretty sick that skz antis consistently exploit moments where the members are distressed don't you think? I don't know why anyone would find that funny, I do dislike groups but I would never do that to them
