Was Gone/On The Ground a mistake for Rose?

  • After Jennie released Solo, her popularity skyrocketed. Jisoo's popularity also peaked after Snowdrop dropped. Lisa dominated globally with Money. Yet after releasing Gone/On the Ground, Rose's popularity went down. Was the songs a mistake?

  • cause they were actually good songs

kpop fans are allergic to good songs

  • Rosé popularity did not go down it’s the highest it’s ever been kpoppies lieing on her name again

  • Her popularity did increase, it's just the other BP members grew more

  • yes because they were boring songs

  • She waited for years to release her solo and fans were told they took their time to make it perfect and she released boring dated songs. Even her fans were underwhelmed.

  • The hype was too much and unfortunately the songs failed to meet it. She did gain popularity but it kind of stagnated because blink aren't as interested in what she'll release as an artist. Otg was a mid song compared to expectations.

  • I don't think her popular went down at all as someone mentioned other members became more popular but that doesn't mean she didn't gain any popularity because she definitely did during promotions.

  • Her popularity didn't go down after her solo. She was more popular for a while, then went back to her regular level. It didn't help that there was so much expectation over her songs. Blinks end up causing damage sometimes while in the process of hyping, and because of their demands. Maybe there would have been something better if fanse's had eased off on the protest trucks.

  • Still can't believe she booked a korean cf, thought she was unpopular according to all users above

  • Both songs were boring asf she shoudlve released something fun.

  • it doesn't help that her solos weren't the same style as bp's songs. unlike lisa and jennies.

  • Yes cause the sounded like 2010 Taylor swift songs

  • Underwhelming. Did not meet expectations.

  • People really talking like the songs flopped but when we pulled out the numbers you said don't matter. OTG and Gone have over 200m and 100m streams in spotify, which is higher than 90% of female soloists nowadays, the only 3 higher are IU, Jennie and Lisa. OTG peaked 1 on the billboard 200 and excluding us, making her the first artist to debut both in a group and as a soloist straight to number 1. Rosé has the highest peaking song by a female korean soloist in the hot 100. No matter how hard you tried it wasn't a mistake, it took her popularity to another level in SK and in the world and she cemented the gap between female idols and BP, once again.
