Heechul censuring the wrong word in Tomboy and singing "Yeah I'm a f*cking beep boy" and making Jay Park laugh

  • it makes sense, you won't care about something you don't understand. you have to understand it to be offended ^^

True, but I feel like "fuck" and "bitch" are a bit....lol.

Like, not everyone understands English, but they recognize certain words. And, at big networks like that, at least one person would know some basic English. The audience might not know, but someone at the network would. Especially when they have people whose jobs are to make English subs. I just think the connotation for them doesn't mean as much cause it isn't their language

but they don't have the same meaning/weight because they are foreign words. word "fuck" is the same as "sky" or "dog", there's no difference. if you call me a bitch (in english), i couldn't care less, but if you call me kučka (bitch in my language) i wouldn't be happy.

here swearing in english isn't considered swearing, it's more like a joke or slang

I feel like they know it's a swear or a not good word but don't care for the reasons you mentioned. And, I'm not saying they should care. Just saying it's funny to see the juxtaposition of how they banned certain things that would be innocuous to us foreigners, but then have idols singing in English and cursing on live tv lol.

like i said, they do know but they don't care because foreign word is a foreign word. curse them in english and curse them in korean and you'll see the difference. the same applies to the n word. there's no cultural and historical meaning to it, it's just a foreign word. which is the reason we've had idols singing the n-word scandals, and we'll continue to have them

we don't censor anything but if we did we certainly wouldn't censor foreign words, just ours

I think we're saying the same thing, so yeah.
