Putting lyrics issue aside the vocals were really flat. I honestly felt like they were singing a nursery rhyme, not even a single good singer in the group.
honestly, I think cookie=vagina is only a known slang in America and maybe England, for the rest of the world not sure. At least this is the first time that I hear that cookie has a double meaning
I personally don't see the problem with the lyrics, based on the lyrics posted in the other thread, they made pretty clear that they talk about a cookie the made, repeat this phrases several time.
Problem is, the lyrics would be less questionable if the members were shown handling actual cookies in the M/V. But nope, it's all left to imagination so of course fans are gonna make assumptions.
I heard the cookies are supposed to be CDs or something which is fine but why can't we see it in the M/V? If that was the meaning, then show them baking cookies in a kitchen, show them taking cds out of the oven, show them handing over cookies/cds to the camera (the fans' point of view), . But nope the company didn't want none of this cutesy stuff, they wanted something mature, something that doesn't look like some kids stuff.
That's why it ends up being kinda weird, at least for some people. If the meaning is what they said it is, then it should have been obvious and not make people confused.
Flop song the girls are not charming too boring
cookie jar by red velvet had a sexual undertone
put your hand in the cookie jar
I'll cast a spell
the excitement will burst
cookie jar
my heart wants it it won't stop
its sexually innuendo there's no way youre that naive to think otherwise. the issue is not with the girls, but whoever said it was OK to sing it.
this song is a whole lot of 라면 먹고 갈래. As you can see, they only want you to come over for dinner, and show you their new albums and bake some cookies. defend the girls, but dont defend the lyrics nor whoever said it was OK.
issa bop
