any other k-soloist that can sell 100k capacity like bts?

    Approved the thread.
  • IU is doing Jamsil this 2022. That's 70k capacity. Maybe she can pull 100k in Korea given the right venue.

I can see BP too, maybe in USA or SEA.

  • You acting like it was his own tour, it was a festival for God sake.

  • I'm sure a lot of fans went to Lollapalooza for J-Hope, but let's not act like the festival would have been empty without him. Literally every year its on all four days always sell out within hours.

  • Are you referring to Jhope at Lollopalooza... then it is not a concert, but a festival with multiple artists.

And even in 2021, amidst COVID and no Jhope, the opening day pulled 300K+.

    But let us go with.

Korea's largest venue is Jamsil (60-70K) and many soloists have sold it out. I have not verified the numbers but this is a sample,

    Lee Moon Sae (2013)

    Seo Taiji (2014, 2017)

    Cho Yong Pil (2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010 2 shows, 2018)

And IU has 2 days coming up in Sep 2022

BTS of course has done well as a group - 2018 2 shows, 2019 3 shows

And outside Korea, here is the list of highest attended concerts,

I don't see BTS in the list, forget solos, not even as a group.

Tickpick the major ticket sponser/ distributer for Lollapalooza for the last 13 years admitted jhope's slot day is the highest in demand ticket record at their website. Plus bighit released a statement earlier today saying there were 105K+ attendees at jhope's pit and slot..so yea it's basically his concert.

  • 100k+ crowd outside of Korea for a soloist? Only a BTS member. Anyone who suggests anyone is delusional

  • Lisa will do numbers in SEA when she starts doing her solo careers, armys are going to doubt her here but lets be honest, she is a Thailand ICON, her solo concert there will make major numbers.

Now this thread looks like a set up for Jhope, his attendance weren't his fans, it was just attendants to Lollapalooza which is a major festival.

Yeah, he wasn't the only one performing on that stage though. As an avid festivalgoer, a lot of people at festivals like this go to a stage and stay there regardless of who's playing.

I don't doubt he was a massive draw but festivals like that people go for the atmosphere not just the music.

  • I can't figure out whether this is a setup bait thread by a BTS anti, or if this is thread made by an ARMY success stan that likes to stroke their ego again :melon_think:

On the topic: if it's about Lollopalooza and the festival has had large attendance numbers at former festivals, then it's a festival/post-covid thing, and not necessarily a jhope thing.

  • lol make this thread when they have their own solo concert
