Did Aespa really not get any VMA nomination when even Seventeen did?

    Isn’t Aespa one of the biggest groups right now? How come they didn’t get any nomination, are they really that irrelevant in the West? This is very odd

    If you search for "mtv fresh out" on youtube you'll see why it was just those groups.

    Lisa and BP has never promoted in mtv fresh out though

    The vmas are a very big award though, it is iconic because it born a lot of the biggest moments of pop culture. Britney and Xtina kiss while JT was in the audience, Miley grinding on Robin Thicke, Gaga paparazzi, Fifth harmony dropping Camila of the stage, etc. Just say you don't have any pop culture knowledge

    Kpop fans: SM doesn't know what appeal to western audience, that's why their promotions there are not as successful as other groups. There is no demand for aespa, NCT, Superm, etc.

    Also kpop fans: Omg lol they are not nominated in this [insert award name]

    not people here exposing themselves with the "every nomination is legit unless it is someone from SM then it must be rigged" narrative

    VMA’s are based on who’s big in USA So even txt would make more sense than aespa
