IVE isn't overworked, it just more of a busy schedule

  • they just have a more busy schedule. I don't think it is overwork.

and it is necessary for a rising group!

  • Kind of agree, but the line between being busy vs being overworked and exhausted is pretty thin... Thats why dives are worried.

but if you ask me if I was the same age as Ive members if I preferred to work like them or stay in school with a dead end job then I would pick the former in a heartbeat

  • Kpop fans are so weirdly obsessed with this concept of victimizing their own faves "oh they're so overworked". Like what do you want them to do? Sit on their asses all day in their dorm being unemployed? Thousands of idols are praying to have a busy schedule and get on TV and shows everyday.

Besides, this is normal for popular idols/celebrities. You look at Eunwoo, Sejeong, Lee Seung-gi etc. They're literally non-stop working all the time, mixing everything from appearing on variety shows to acting on dramas, to radio show promotions, MC hosting etc.

  • everthing above me has said is true. PLUS im confident the girls want this too. they didn't practice everyday and everything to debut and sit around. they want everything! they want world tours they want cfs they want it all. as they should. they are new and rising take everything. plus they are young 30min power naps and they good to go LOLLLLLLLLL(jking on the last part)

  • They'll be running on fumes but it's worth it. They can't pass up being associated with the top gg. It's a win-win. They're not expected to do well against them so there's that built-in excuse, but if they do good enough then they'll be able to say they were up against the best and still did well.

Plus the interactions alone will be used as validation for the rest of their lives.

The difference is that half of Ive are literal kids. Hell, they're all kids to me, 14-19 is still kids. And there's a difference between being busy and being forced to work 16-20 hour workdays for weeks at a time, it's not healthy for kids especially who need hella ton more sleep and rest than old ass boomers.

When another group had this kinda schedule, guess what happened to them. Multiple hiatuses and publicly revealed physical and mental breakdowns. I don't want that happening to Ive. And the concern is mostly to Wonyoung and Yujin, both have been nonstop 110 percent since debut.

  • Hah, love kpop, can't wait for the feinting on stage videos that are a right of passage in this clapped industry.

That young is not unusual either. IU was what 17 when she blew up in 2010.. at that point she was promoting music, on a variety show -Heroes, shooting a Drama-Dream high, CFs, Music shows and she will still finishing off school.. think she also started hosting Inkigayo ..

Sejeong was falling asleep on her feet when promoting IOI, gugudan, appearing in a bunch of variety shows etc.,

Yes it is a killing schedule, somewhat akin to boot camp of any army training. But that is the prize for fame they pay. And burn out is the risk they carry, even trauma.

I am not saying it is healthy, but IVE is not an exception. It is pretty much the industry, starting from the very concept of debuting underage immature teens.
