NCT has charted internationally!? With stupid songs like Vampire, Glitch or what names does have their s***y songs!? :o

Correlation != Causation

It's entirely possible that once it starts to rise people who liked the group/song were more comfortable being vocal about liking it.

Generally occurred with all those examples up there. People tend to over-estimate success stanning, and under-estimate that generally there are 2 distinct populations, who tend to be more or less vocal depending on the climate/environment. It's easier to not cop flack saying a song isn't your favourite when it's not on the charts.

People who tend to voice their dislike or apathy about popular songs get hit with lots of "your jealous etc etc".

I haven't change my mind on Next Level despite al it's success (I don't care for it) and I think O.O is a terrible song, and that'll occur whether it was Melon 1000, or Melon 1 and got SOTY. That's just my personal view on the songs.
