Because they're trying to decrease reliance on BTS.
Promoting maknae line would just make the gap between BTS and their new groups even bigger.
But they've been trying to push a member for years and it's clearly not working. Isn't it waste of money and connections?

ofcourse it's a waste of money and connections, expecially when they already have an it boy (and 2 other potential ones) in their company. they could be supporting & expanding what they already have, but they are too stubborn and proud.
if hybe has proven one thing these last few years, it's that they are incredibly arrogant. Ever since they became a billion dollar company (bc of bts & bts only), they have been acting as if they are untouchable. The whole Garam situation proved that too. they must have lost A LOT of money & opportunities by the way they handled that, but they were just too proud to admit they made a mistake. same thing with them pushing Yeonjun as some wannabe it boy.

Both of these charted on Hot 100 this year with an ost and have been making so much noise but I don't see hybe bragging about it while other nugu idols get an article written by them some media and they hype the fuck out of it.

nothing i said was some complicated secret info... hybe HAS an it boy (jimin) and 2 big potentials (jk & v), who they aren't pushing even half as hard as that yj boy. you don't even have to be an army to know that.
also, i don't think there's anyone, except for pathetic company stans, that would disagree that hybe has become arrogant and proud expecially after that whole Garam situation they pulled.
