Was 2nd gen the best time for Kpop?

  • Do you miss 2nd gen? The days when SNSD, 2NE1, Big Bang, Super Junior, SISTAR… were stomping with their EDM hits? When idols freely interact and appear frequently on variety shows? When Kpop didn’t try hard to cater to the West?

  • As much as I miss 2nd gen (SJ, big bang and 2ne1), 3rd gen is still my favorite gen ❤️ Tbh I don’t really care about them catering to the west part. I still enjoy most of the songs regardless.

  • The best time for K-pop was 1911 because it (and, by extension "pop music" as we know it) didn't exist. Good day.

  • 2nd gens without a question.

They have the best music for both boy group and girl group.

  • 3rd gen > 2nd gen > 4th gen

2008-2011 was a great time for kpop but I’m pretty sure 2016-2019 was even better. Whatever noise music hell we’re going through right now stinks.

  • Why are second-gen stans appearing? Shouldn't you guys stay inside out of the wind before you're blown into dust?

  • Variety shows and collaborations were so much better in 2nd gen times than afterwards. Many idols had serious variety skills, were hugely entertaining, and variety shows were filled with idols, because they were great at it and fun and had chemistry.

The same chemistry could be seen in their many collaborations, they weren't afraid to have boy/girl idol and bg/gg collaborations and interactions, not like how it's nowadays.
