The 3rd gen one included the top groups of their era + Irene + Yuju, and bunch more people
The 3.5/4 gen was a smaller special stage and had more nugus. Personally, 3rd gen stage had Irene but 4 gen has Yena+Miyeon, so overall they are more exhilarating for me.
