RE: "In a way I'm thankful for covid"

  • Thanks for this beautiful thread, OP. I really wish this was made on the main forum, but I don't blame you. I understand how chaotic things often seem, but despite all that, we love music for a reason. It really gives meaning and direction to our lives.

Tragedy aside, I get what you mean. Sometimes bad things happen, but if it weren't for those unfortunate circumstances, we wouldn't have grown the way we did, learned the lessons we did, or come to certain realizations that altered our lives for the better. That's something I've thought about a lot over the years, even before COVID-19.

You know that saying "Everything happens for a reason." Sometimes we don't have all the answers to the difficult situations life throws at us, but we should try to persevere and do our best to hang on. Eventually, we'll realize all of that was a blessing in a way. It's not clear yet, but things will be okay.

In a sense, I feel like that message was also embedded in the BE album.

  • Also, OP, your thread reminds me of the ephemeral nature of K-pop. These moments are temporary and fleeting, so it's best we hold onto what makes us happy while we can. Whether it's a comeback, a tour, or some award show performance, all of that only lasts for a bit. Its impact on us may last forever, but there's nothing like experiencing it as it's happening.

There's so much BS involved in stan culture that we forget about what really matters. In the end, none of the BS matters. It's just you and your memories of what made you happy. Gotta embrace all of it to the fullest.

Message me if you ever need to vent about this. I relate entirely.

  • im thankful for covid because we got wlts... also an excuse to cover my face :itzy6:

  • There's nothing I'm thankful for COVID for. I wasn't a fan of BTS during the height of it so it made no difference to me. All this talk of them leaving is a little bit exaggerated imo. They haven't announced they're disbanding and I'm certainly not going to be slashing my wrists over a hiatus. They are just gone for a little while, that is all. They've made too much of an impact. I'll be waiting.

  • I feel guilty for feeling this way and enjoying a time where the members were being overwhelmed and feeling lost. But without corvid there would be no dynamite, no butter, no BE which has some of my favorite songs and probably none of the collabs they did as well. A lot of these releases brought me some of my happiest moments as an army and memories that will stay with me for a long time.

i feel the same way op

i was just thinking about it yesterday
