Ya'll celebrating BTS's hiatus but when their solo's smash then what?

    all their solos will be hard carried by their fans, I only see jungkook and maybe v or jimin to have both gp and fandom support.

    Actor V is gonna take over the kdrama fandom community, jk will have a smash solo as well. If anything you'll see them even more active now.

    We will see the akgaes and i doubt any of them can pull off a national hit in sk so just the fandom hard carrying them.

    This will also show how individually they aren't a legend in sk like others soloists that comes from groups.

    It's really hard to pull a hit song on korea now a days and theyre not even that famous as individuals if they they really try they can do it. But i doubt they'll try I only see V releasing more Korean music.

    They are the biggest group so the logic is that they are famous as individuals too. Weren't armys saying Jimin is the biggest idol in sk? But this will just show how they are a fandom group, no GP, no hits - as soloists - and akgaes fighting every day.

    We'll finally see which member has the bigger solo fandom because not all fans will support every members solos the same. It will be up to akgaes.


    You're fooling yourself if you think their solos will do anything near what the group does.

    The exciting thing is that their solo's will have to smash. The teletubby tunes won't fly outside of the group setting. No-one is going to object to getting some good music out of these guys. The cool thing was finding out how on the same page we were. There should be some good stuff on the way.

    as group bts is more cohesive, they hide and compliment each other.

    solo? naw itll be exploited.

    i like a segment of rm on raps songs but full song not really that goes with suga and jhope

    v yeah hes good looking but hes vocal aint nothig to be really proud.


    junkook and jimin might be the one to stand out. that'll be hard carried by army fans or akhagae

    then we sit and see a civil war. where their stans are beating each other's favs up and say who's #1 and how much he charting

    They work well as a group because their weaknesses aren’t as highlighted. Going solo is really going to highlight each members weaker points and tbh they’re not all going to have the same success (wether fans want to admit that or not)


    (Side note: what if one or two members suddenly gain a massive amount of success whilst solo. That’d probably have an effect on how they feel going back to promoting as a group)

    What's the difference between saying it here or saying it on main? It's been said, you can debate the points if you want or just ignore it.

    gp doesn't care at all about the solos of bts. Their drama osts were hard carried by the fans and I'm sure their solo albums will be too.

    Koreans are still angry that bts are trying to skip the military. They lost a lot of interest because of that

    Armys already underestimating V, cannot wait for him to sell out double million copies.

    No I don't think they're well known as individuals among gp.

    I'm interested to see what direction each member takes with his music.


    Jungkook and J-Hope are the most promising to me as soloists. Talent wise, they're the most well rounded members.

    They are screwed. Because not all of them will have the same level of success. It will lead to resentment and jealousy within the group and between solo fandoms. That's the reality of it. Even if they come back as a group, it's not going to be as successful or prolific as it used to be.


    Already you have V complaining that he had to give himself up for the team. Jungkook and Jimin probably feel the same way. It's only going to get worse. Why would those guys want to go back to sacrificing their solo success to carry the dead weight like Jhope and Rapmon?

    kpop fans will cry and yell that bts's solos aren't going to be successful meanwhile each bts member is more popular than most whole groups, especially 4th gen. so if their solos are already "flops" before release, then what are your fave groups?

    I do think solo albums will impact group sales in the future. maknaeline fansites in particular will probably pull back on group buys to save money for solo albums.

Actually I don't see them especially maknae line wanting to comeback as a group not because they'll become greedy or something. If their solos are appreciated as an artist why'd they join a group where they are treated like comedians?

    Jhope will sell alot armys will buy it but whoever comes back next year might sell less because armys would've moved to next groups, some might leave. The passion won't be there.

    They are less popular because they are considered the least good looking, yeah kpop fans are shallow like that

    I'm curious about Jimin


    He has been topping Gallup for a few years now and there's a lot of talk and "numbers" pointing to him being the most popular idol in the 3rd gen domestically, but whether that translates into the female equivalent of success that Jennie got will be interesting to see.

    I see people downplaying RM, but it seems like RM hard carries all the promo work and interviews for the group in what I’ve seen in mainstream interviews so it will be very interesting to see what happens in solos where each member has to do that work themselves. Kang Daniel and Baekhyun are two of the most successful recent male soloists and they are both likeable and charming in interviews.


    It will definitely be interesting to watch!

    I can see Taehyung, Jungkook and Suga leading very successful solo careers in music,i can see Tae also doing really good in non music related things like acting, ambassadorship, fashion events... Jimin is a wild card but if he pull something like filter i can see him making some noise, jhope despite being one of the least popular members i think he has quite some potential cuz he got quite the charisma on stage, now the ones i can see being on the brink of flopping are Jin and RM

    Jin’s I see as making least noise, initially.


    I reckon all rapline can have huge success- particularly Suga. GP always seem to eat up his stuff when exposed. If D2/Daecwita had been released officially,it might have been massive. The hype was huge. J Hope is one to watch as his album is gonna be much darker and could make more noise just coz of that.


    V’s first release is gonna be huge. Ditto JK. No doubt about that, but it’s up in the air how good they are as songwriters across a whole album. And they seem to favour slow sleepy ballads a lot.


    Jimin, I really can’t place yet. No idea what HIS personal style actually is.

    Jin: I would do LiknYoung style & acting.

    No need to compete innthe popgame. But this will be just before milli.


    V: snoozefest type music. He’s hot but boring and 200 years old.


    RM: will open a celebrity art gallery, go on a trip around the world and write music for others. Then go into mili.


    Jhope: cool dude and versatile and interesting. He’ll do interesting music like chicken noodle


    Suga: continues to produce and write. Will hopefully do another bomb album.


    JK: will make boring wannabe Justin Bieber stuff but without having the coolness that Justin has.


    Jimin: will moon to the world and not do an album.
