aespa has no popularity or demand in the US

  • this is not true.

people said that they didn’t gain fans after Coachella. but SM is adding another date to their SYNK LA showcase event because the original date sold out very quickly in the SAME day. i’m pretty sure Coachella helped them gain fans. if it didn’t they wouldn’t be selling out their showcase event this fast. looking forward to this comeback, aeskarma strikes again.

    sold out again

  • Ok, this is the U.S. I don't know how things work in other places but scalpers are gobbling up tickets left and right for all concerts. I see a lot of resale tickets still available, probably ~40% of the venue capacity. Either way, they'll make their money since it's officially sold.

    Anyway, good luck to them.

  • Obviously it’s not true lol haters say just about anything to lie to themselves. Congrats to aespa they’re going to be huge and no hate can stop that :pepe-toast:

  • Like among the general population in the USA? No, not really. But among USA K-pop fans? Yes they are popular, just like most sm groups are. They won’t have a “viral” USA hit but they will do fine among USA K-pop fans.

  • But wait, Aespa only famous in Korea?
    300K album
    preorders from c-bar alone,
400k Japanese mys wanting to buy
aespa’s SYNK showcase ticket in Japan,
LA SYNK added a day 2 for their LA Showcase.

Still doubting the ‘Girls’ 1 million pre-orders? Think again. Aeskarma is real and working overtime :pepeshut:

  • Concert doesn't really prove anything tbh. Lots of groups sell out good show in the U.S but are nowhere to be seen on the Billboard charts. Lots of Kpop fans don't mind attending a concert so long as the acts are famous.

  • I'm Army and wishing them all the best

Now that aespa sells tickets it's the US kpop community helping them, the same community that has been hating on them since their predebut right

If that was the case, g-idle with hit songs or loona with mostly US fans wouldn't be performing in venues with 2k-3k capacity and still not selling out all seats, since the very caring kpop community would be filling seats to see them, on top of their own fans going.

aespa going directly for 10k+ capacity shows there is demand
