When did SM stop having Exo as priority?

Although Exo is still releasing music these days, SM treats them more like legacy/solo acts than their priority. But when did this happen, because for a long time after Growl Exo was the face of SM?

Since NCT. SM was desperate for NCT to get huge and wasted a lot of promo on them that should go to Exo instead. If they pushed Exo, I’m sure the legacy would be more bigger.

When Exo started enlistment and RV was the face of SM. NCT then came along became the main BG

I wouldn't blame nct or sm focusing on them since they sold 2.4m+

When they need it to push NCT, they even stopped promoting EXO and recruited two members of EXO to go with NCT members into SuperM. Meanwhile, EXO would get solo and subunits promotions, if any.
