Do you think exo is as big as bts now if the members didn't have to enlist?

  • Meanwhile BigHit accepted every offer given from the western music industry and that's why BTS has become so big. But I can totally see BTS going the EXO path within a few years.

lol such BS. Bighit was super hesitant with BTS since they were leading the Western popularity surge, they only reluctantly sent them places and booked bigger venues, always erring on the side of caution, and only bc there was already HUGE demand for them in the US, compared to how every other company nowadays is getting record deals and booking arena tours etc with a fraction of BTS' 2017 success.

  • But... But.. Paper Award😭

  • actually exols used to act like armys back then defending every move SM did, and that's why they could never reach their full potential in the west. Of course everyone will not stay at the top forever. But BTS already made a legacy that Exo can’t even touch, BTS has cemented themselves as one of the legends.

About exols act like ARMY, no they didn’t. exols loves to complain and fight online but lazy and maybe less assertive. Maybe because they are fans of a big label and are more pampered and wanted the label to do everything. Even now they blame the label for not pushing Exo when in fact BTS was pushed by ARMY and then when Bighit saw the results, they helped too. Exo haven’t even been in the Hot100 bubbling under, why would SM pushed them? Funny how exols are trying to change the narrative now.

Nothing is cemented. There have been many acts who have been as big or bigger than BTS from different countries, broke records, been the first artists to do things, created new music genres etc, and most of them aren't remembered today.

The music industry is fickle. With the amount of musicians that do exist or have existed most of them are never remembered no matter what impact they had on the music industry. It's impossible to say things are cemented because anything could change. (well, you can say it but you would be wrong)...

  • no

not everyone is destined to reach certain heights

exo dominated in their time & they reached their peak

bts' peak is just a lot higher (than any other kpop group, not just exo)

no one is trying to change any narrative. I think you're confusing them with others, the one that is currently trying to change the narrative.

if bts aren't legends in kpop exo are literally nobody's. don't try to change the narrative now. You're trying too hard

  • Bighit didn't push bts in the west before they blow up. Why are some exols always push this narrative that bighit aim the west for bts from the beginning. As far as i know their is no western push for bts besides the norm that other groups are also doing.

Bighit is seeing that bts starts to gain traction in the west after their charting in billboard, blowing up, etc. so they do what any smart person would do, paying attention to the western market.

'Exo is very popular in the west, just that sm didn't want to push them, blah blah blah' did they get any particular achievement that quaranteed them a push and success during their peak.

  • Lmaoooo stay salty exols, bts was already stomping exo in digitals and physicals before they started to enlist lol
