Does it make you sad to see 3rd gen fading away?

  • Blackpink’s appearance on Rolling Stone this time received way less praise and hype than their previous Elle cover, I feel anticipation for their music is also not as much as before. Bts takes longer hiatuses and is not making much new music. Exo has transitioned more to solo work. Seventeen/Mamamoo/Oh my girl … still release music but don’t make noise like before. Does it make you sad to see 3rd gen starting to fade away?

  • It got less praise because it was plain white paper background and basic outfits, and Blinks expect more than that. We're used to their solo magazines. We wanted opulence and glamour. Especially with Rolling Stone doing a countdown, to see them in 2018 fits again is a bit meh. Rosie fans wondering why she looks like a 90's Jonas brother in that tee vest combo.

But the ridiculously expensive magazine boxset will sell out anyway, don't fret.

  • They trending worldwide, the post has 300k likes on Instagram alone but no hype some of y’all are just saying anything

  • Pretty sure BP's comeback will annihilate a bunch of the top 4th gen groups combined but go off I guess

  • Nct just blew up like a year and a half ago chile. 3rd gen also has BP and BTS, while not exactly overly active they still have a massive following and are pretty well known around the world.

  • no, it make me sad that fans mentality stays the same no matter what generation ):

do you know when that is?

  • no hype? lmaooooo, if the girls have no hype then 4th gen is over

Nct is a bad example because theyre never ending, even if 10 members dont renew theres other 10 left and every year a new member keeps being added

  • I'm whatever on BP but I hope they come back soon just to shut these 4th gen gg stans up

  • 4th gen Stan’s are getting bold on blackpinks name…

This is just the beginning… blackpink is only getting started this year the hype will only go up

  • Not much, from the 4 generations the third gen was weakest

  • Omg 4th gen stans shut up already

  • 4th gen acting like they sell more than 3rd gen, lmao. For bgs no 4th gen is selling more than nct, seventeen or bts, and for ggs RV sold more than the highest seller in 4th gen. Spotify; no 4th gen bg has streams comparable to BTS and for ggs, no 4th gen has over 200m, like make it make sense, how is 3rd gen dying if they still outdoing 4th gen?

How does that make any difference? Do you think that in 2015, the year 2nd gen faded for real, 3rd gen rookies sold and had more streams than 2nd gen groups? Absolutely not. Did that make a difference on how 2nd gen pretty much died in that year and 3rd gen groups kept rising? Absolutely not either.

you are not getting the point, 3rd gen acts still having higher peaks despite supposedly fading, 4th gen is ending in 2 years and they still aren't getting over the 3rd gens groups

by that year got7 and twice were already outselling and outstreaming their 2nd gen peers at jyp. rv was selling around the same or more than fx. seventeen and monsta x were doing better than their seniors, etc

even if the digitals weren't as good at most of the cases, they were already winning in some categories.

4th gen groups aren't doing so. top 3 best selling groups are bts-svt-nct units for bgs and twice-bp for ggs.

  • 4th gen stans need to worry about their boy groups who can't chart anywhere to save their lives
