What’s limiting Txt from more casual listeners?

  • Their sales increased a lot, which shows their fanbase is growing, but not the same with streaming, in Korea or on Spotify. Why isn’t Txt music attracting more casual listeners?

  • Their songs are bland and forgettable

  • TXT has a lot of casual listeners, it is just that their latest comeback is not good, their 2021 comebacks were better that's why they gained a lot of fans and listeners.

  • They seem like a boring group? Don't get me wrong, I like a few of their songs, but as a group, they're lacking something?

And their music sounds monotonish? Lacks color? Not that they don't sound okay. At least it's not noise

  • i will speak from my experience: their songs are good but i don't like their vocals. They don't sound comfortable singing their songs so it makes me feel uncomfortable listening too...

  • It's because they're from bighit, let's be honest, no one would be afraid to stan txt they weren't gonna be labelled an ex army, or a company stan

  • Their voices don't suit this emo/ rock/ whiny style, it's annoying to listen to their songs. Pop is better for them.

agree when it comes to title tracks but the b sides on this album are better than on their last album and repackage. But casual listeners usually don't listen to b-sides so makes sense

  • the song is not very txt this time around. bighit should've kept their poppy upbeat sound. No one except their fans like the emo thing

  • HYBE doesn’t promote them in a way where anyone outside the kpop bubble would know them. This goes for why most kpop can’t find listeners outside their fans!

  • only reason their sales were so high (and showed a big difference with their other data) was because they had 8+ different versions. There's nothing wrong with that since almost every kpop group is doing this, but it plays a huge role in the increased sales.

to everyone saying the song wasn't good enough to attract gp, txt didn't have an album for 8/9 months & hybe was so loud about txt's fandom/support having increased so much, but none of their streaming etc shows this. i just don't think their fandom grew that much (don't come with album sales).

  • public friendly music!!

If hybe give them good catchy songs eventually more casual fans will check their music!!

And this applies to all boy groups not just to txt!

Like it or not it's all about the right song!

Look what happened to skz, when they released God's menu! That song really took them to the next level!

If you want your boy group to be really successful have both digital+physicals they need catchy songs, public friendly songs end of discussion.

  • God’s menu as the definition of public friendliness is the funniest thing I seen for a while.

    :pepe-joy:

    Stray Kids as public friendly..,

  • Their latest album feels so generic, tryhard and boring. That said it's not like any bg besides bts got many casual listeners

What do you mean every group? Enhypen never had more than 4 versions and they sold a million with 3 versions and 1 additional version that got added at the end of the preorder period.
