What’s limiting Txt from more casual listeners?

  • Congrats for them for selling over 1 Mill!

Since I’m not familiar, I prefer a beat I can just vibe with b/c I’m not going to sit there and read lyrics on repeat.

There’s loud music I suppose ^^ but. There’s a lot of echoing in the instruments and their voices, voices sounds far from a distance that it’s not pleasing to my ears so hard to listen on repeat. The higher I turn the volume, the screechier it’s gets and high pitch, it borderline give me a headache 🤕 I’m sorry ;(

And this TT I just can’t imagine them good boy gone bad, so perhaps a diff title about something else lol

  • I think they overdid the emo concept, they have had 3 comebacks with the same concept. If they did a light concept they would do so well.

  • my message was removed for some reason so I'll send it again:

God's Menu...? It went viral because of uniquely and intensely SKZ it is, not because it fits a preconceived idea of "public friendly" more. Actually, a kpop producer has revealed that a lot of companies ask for songs like God's Menu (and also Thunderous) for their groups, yet did you see anyone manage to even come close to replicating their success? Yeah no.

  • HYBE doesn’t promote them in a way where anyone outside the kpop bubble would know them. This goes for why most kpop can’t find listeners outside their fans!

txt has been making tiktoks with half of the industry, which in this era is the most public friendly promotion you can do...

what do you even expect hybe to do at this point? let txt go door to door to force them on locals?

  • Speaking openly as a MOA, I don't think Good boy gone bad is a track that suits what they're known for. I get wanting to expand more but the bsides were far better than the title track. It was the same problem with Can't you see me, casual listeners did NOT fuck with that song and it shows in how lacking it does on Spotify.

  • The new song is arguably one of their worst right down there with can't you see me. I'm not a moa but a casual fan and txt are my second most listened to artist yet I haven't listened to that song since the day it was released. I have no desire to listen to it. Opening sequence would have been a much better tt than it.

  • Moas. Moas are limiting txt from more casual listeners. Till this comeback txt actually did better than their competitions streaming wise relative to their sales. Because they had the biggest fandom as their casual listeners till this comeback. Armys who are not kpop fans were more open to txt than any other kpop group and used to add txt songs to their playlists. But then moas started beefing with armys last year. They started shading bts members regularly like other kpop fandoms. Now armys, txt's biggest casual listeners, treat txt like just another kpop group and you see the results.

  • I usually listen to txt if they drop their album. But this album was particularly mid, especially the title track. One of their worst I’ve heard in a while. Maybe love song was too much of a good track to top.
