Here's why I personally think Blackpink is not only just hated but the most disrespected kpop group

    So hate is a given when you are a popular group and this is not a My FaVs aRe sO HaTeD hate-porn post. Its just I think why they are so universally hated and disrespected in every platform be it twt, reddit, tiktok, youtube etc etc. Kpop has a set of system with how most kpop groups function. Frequent comebacks, promoting, if you are a popular to semi popular group in sk, going to varieties as much as you can, going to all music shows and award shows or special stages, interacting with other idols on cam or now a days making tiktok dance clips to promote one another's songs, collab stages (rosé had like 2 in 2016 and lisa 1) and most importantly creating content for your fans, interacting with them. Blackpink either do none of the above or the occurrence is very rare. They are made to be very exclusive. So in a way kpop stans have painted a MEAN GIRL picture of them. Also another thing is they are from yg but then again I don't think any other yg groups get hated to this extent. Bp also shot to number 1 gg status and the no.2 kpop group status by having the most smallest discography of all groups. This creates a resentment from other stans and they think they don't deserve their success and fame. Most people who don't stan them just don't get it and people who are used to the kpop system and the way the groups function, blackpink are spoiled privileged brats for them. Do they deserve to be villainized for simply not functioning like the norm, of course not but its just an analysis where the disregard towards them stems from.

    I think bits is most hated group especially with non kpop fans they can be racists af to bts


    But in kpop sphere bp has least respect from kpop fans I agree

    There are groups that got taken to court by other groups' fandom over nothing, got actually poisoned, got multiple death threats (that the police had to monitor & the company had to hire extra protection), got black oceans,... but blinks want people to believe toxic online people are the worst kpop groups' can get.


    Hate shouldn't be a competiton, but please, get a freaking grip. Bp has a lot of online haters & i wont deny that, but y'all haven't experienced how dangerous hateful people can be AT ALL.

    I think BTS and BP are hated equally


    But kpop fans, even ones who don't stan them, have some respect for BTS which is not the case for Blackpink. It kind of ebbs and flows with their success though, antis were silent after The Album and they only started up again now that BP are months into hiatus...but how people still have it in them to write hate essays about a group that is practically disbanded atp is beyond me lol

    For how much they have helped gg market grow and all of their achievements, yeah they are very disrespected. Bts are the only other group you could make a case to be just as hated, not that any kind of hate is deserved but what other groups get is childs play in comparison

    You didn't get the point at all, i never said they are the most hated. Also most of those things happened in 1st or 2nd gen and bp literally have gotten death threats like most popular kpop groups do, they even had multiple cases of defamation and rumours spread against them on the Internet which actually can be serious if you never had a big fandom to fall back into, their company just doesn't do much to protect them, all companies sue malicious haters, yg never did. But am i saying does this make them the most hated. No ffs I am only giving an analysis why they are often disrespected in the kpop sphere.

    half those things weren't even from 1 or 2nd gen & every top group is extremely disrespected for stupid reasons online (just look at bts & twice), but sure if this is the narrative you guys want to entertain.

    Funny I think they're more respected than the average kpop group, especially other girl groups. New international fans tend to look down on other groups and not see them as too weird and too asian, or whatever. The fact that Twice fans are often assumed to be older creepy men just in it for their visuals says a lot about how respected Twice is for example.

    Receiving hate comments goes for all kpop groups. Popular groups have it worse but it has nothing to do with BP specifically. And being labelled as "mean girls" really isn't that big of a deal or even that disrespectful as an artist, it doesn't say anything about their singing, performance ability or music.

    I feel like nct is disrespected regularly also, not to the extent of bp but yknow

    While I think that its unfair for BP to get this much hate, and might understand why you feel that way. IMO, the way I see it as those jabs/hate towards BP are actually meant for their fans to see, but unfortunately and unfairly, since BP is the group themselves, the hate is translated to them.


    And I can somewhat understands why, just look at the comment you gave to the ones above you. You're probably really young, and there are alot of immature fans in KPOP, you'll understand it one day.
