I. Introduction
NCT Life is an ongoing Korean reality/variety series that follows the members of the Korean boy group, NCT, as they travel, play and perform. Members of all of the sub-units have featured in seasons, although not every member has been featured. Shotaro, Sungchan and WayV's Xiaojun, Hendery and Yangyang have never appeared on NCT Life.
Each season follows a specific theme with recurring or new members, dependent on the theme, such as travel, behind-the-scenes preparations for performances, competitions and games. Some seasons are produced in conjunction with national or local tourism boards and have aired on both conventional and streaming platforms. In early seasons of the show, some featured members may not have yet debuted with NCT or in a permanent sub-unit.
The series currently has 11 seasons.
II. Overview
NCT Life in Seoul is the second season of NCT Life and follows members introduced in Season 1, when they were still SM Rookies: Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung and Jaehyun. Additionally, it introduces two new Chinese members, Kun and Winwin, who primarily speak Mandarin, as they adapt to life in Korea and accompanying language barriers with the members. By this show, many of the members had just debuted in NCT U except for Yuta and Winwin. The members are divided into two teams who compete around Seoul to retrieve puzzle pieces, while also sampling traditional Korean food and touring the sights.
NCT Life in Seoul was aired on Naver TV Cast, VLive and MBC Music in Korea, Youku and Tudou in China and True4U in Thailand. It aired between May 21-June 11, 2016.
III. Episode List
All of this season of NCT Life is currently available on VLive to watch. Fan subs were provided in multiple languages within the platform. Each episode is 25-30 minutes.

IV. NCT Trivia
Many familiar and popular memes or references within the fandom appear in the NCT Life series.
- Kun and Winwin are still new to Korea and speak limited Korean. Members have in-ear translators, but the ongoing language gap is a good-natured challenge throughout the series. The Chinese members are trying to understand and participate while the Korean members are trying to be helpful and include them so they don't feel isolated.
- Jaehyun and Winwin are the maknae in this season. Jaehyun has previously been the maknae for members like Taeyong and Yuta. (Despite appearances, Kun is actually older than Jaehyun.)
- Kun says he arrived from Beijing 9 months before.
- Early seasons of NCT Life cast Taeyong as the cool bad boy, which the editors play up in this season also.
- Kun, who is quite talkative and boisterous in later WayV and NCT content, is quite shy and low-key in this season.
Episode 1:
-Doyoung and Kun are the same age, which will be an ongoing joke for many years about who's the oldest.
- Jaehyun's hyper competitiveness is staple of NCT content, including NCT Life.
- Taeyong "the cool guy" having to act cute and complaining is an ongoing joke in NCT Life, especially in early seasons.
- Doyoung's ongoing Vroom Vroom Talk Show, which is a recurring joke/theme through NCT Life is referenced here.
Episode 2:
-Yuta talks about exploring Korea, which will also appear in discussions in NCT Life: Hot & Young Seoul Trip.
- The Chinese members name the teams Hanwoo (beef) and Aigoo (an expression you make when you make a mistake.)
Episode 3:
- Members play "head ping-pong" using their heads and balloons. This game will show up again in a future season of NCT Life.
Episode 4:
-Jaehyun and Taeyong's cooking abilities are an ongoing theme in NCT Life and other content, including a future cooking competition season of NCT Life.
- Taeyong being cute to gain money for groceries continues the "being cute".
- Popular in compilations, members walking down the street eating ice cream and giving some to a kid.
- Winwin's lack of cooking abilities is an ongoing joke through NCT and WayV content.
Episode 5:
- Vroom Vroom Talk Show appears at last.
- Members eat last night snacks on the Han River. The location appears in many seasons of NCT Life and past moments like this are referenced.
- Basketball appears in a lot of NCT content.
Episode 6:
- Many extremely popular elements in compilations come out of this episode: the discussion about it being weird having guys under 1 blanket, discussion about poking holes in the wall, Taeyong entering the room to punish Jaehyun, Jaehyun hiding under the covers and joking "don't the camera's rolling" while "Careless Whisper" plays, Taeyong rolling over the members.
- Yuta sucking on the lemon and having to whistle reappears in a later NCT Life season, as well as his inability to whistle.
Episode 7:
- Yuta mentions he would like to travel to his own country on the next NCT Life. His wish comes true in a later season.
- Ongoing jokes/themes: Doyoung's Vroom Vroom Talk Show, the language gap, Jaehyun's competitiveness, Taeyong the cool guy, particularly when he has to act cute; missing Taeil, who is not in the show; an obsession with food and snacks.
