I. Introduction
A story that follows university student Hua Minchu. Due to an accident, he becomes involved in the warfare and veiled strife among the various powers in the pugilistic world while engaging in efforts to save the people. The filming took place in Beijing, Shanghai and many other locations.
II. Synopsis
Hua Minchu (Ou Hao) is a young student who loves his country. He has a promise of marriage to Zhong Yao (Wang Zixuan) whom he refers to as an older sister as they grew up together. After graduation, Hua Minchu turns down Zhong Yao's job offer because he intends to forge his own path.
Hua Minchu unexpectedly obtains a scroll of unknown origin which leads to his first encounter with Xishui (Tan Songyun) and many others. Along the way, Hua Minchu discovers that there is more to his true identity. He also comes to admire his acquaintances at the bottom rungs of the ladder who can sacrifice everything for their country.
As the one in charge of the scroll, Hua Minchu becomes the head of the eight. His journey takes him to many places as he grows through his experiences with Xishui by his side. However, the mastermind pulling the strings behind the scenes is gradually revealed. Against all odds, Hua Minchu leads his comrades to crush a conspiracy.
