I. Introduction
Welcome to Sun & Moon was a 10-episode YouTube variety web series in the form of a talk show, hosted by NCT members Haechan (Sun) and Taeil (Moon). The pair interview other members of NCT in short segments.
II. Overview
The group structure of NCT is unique among K-Pop groups due to the fact that the concept of NCT is an ever expanding group with "unlimited" members and it is comprised of several individual subunits. Currently there are 23 members in NCT, making up four individual subunits. The sub-units combine to create an all-unit project in select years that features all NCT members, debuts new ones, releases albums and appears on TV shows, web and social content.
As part of the NCT 2020 Resonance event, NCT's YouTube channels posted daily content, including limited time shows and special episodes of ongoing shows. Welcome to Sun & Moon featured members Haechan (the Sun, whose stage name means Full Sun) and Taeil (the Moon, for his last name) hosting members of NCT in a talk show format. Taeil is a member of NCT 127, while Haechan is a member in both NCT 127 and NCT Dream. The show pokes fun at itself, pretending to be an ongoing talk show, while clearly set in a parking lot and warehouse over the course of one day during the NCT 2020 Resonance photo and video shoots.
Other NCT members appear in themed cross-unit groups as guests, with all of the members appearing on the show. For some of the members, the project is the first time interacting in an all-unit project or working with members in other units, particularly in the last unit to debut, WayV.
Like other NCT content, this show references ongoing themes and jokes.
III. Episode List
All episodes are available on NCT's YouTube channel. Each episode is 6-10 minutes long.

IV. Trivia
Many familiar and popular memes or references within the fandom appear in the Welcome to Sun & Moon series.
- Members are involved with photo and video shoots for NCT Resonance in between the interviews and are wearing the suits designed for photography and the Year Party launch event promotions.
- When the show moves inside beginning with Episode 3, camera flashes can be seen through all the segments, as other members are photographed for Resonance promotions.
- Since members are milling around between shoots, they are often watching or participating in the segments.
- Mark appears in the most episodes.
- The uncomfortable inflatable couch is an ongoing joke in the series.
Episode 1 (Youngest - maknae):
- The guests are the maknae of the sub-units - Yangyang for WayV, Jisung for NCT Dream. Haechan is the maknae of NCT 127. There is a long-running joke about Taeil, the oldest member of NCT, being the maknae.
Episode 2 (99 line):
- Haechan has a long running joke about Haechan Cam with a viewer rating of 37.5%. There is a question in the fandom about it - it's either a joke about a really high TV rating and it's also the latitude of Seoul. (NCT 127's name comes from the longitude of Seoul.)
- The episode's guests were born in 1999: NCT Dream/127's Mark, WayV's Lucas, Hendery and Xiaojun.
- All of the guests on this episode are from other countries.
- NCT 127's Doyoung is watching this episode.
Episode 3 (Teddy Bears):
- The guests are WayV's Kun and NCT Dream's Chenle.
- Kun's NCT emoji is a bear and it always appears in his content. Sometimes Haechan's is also, but Chenle's is actually a dolphin.
- Both guests are native Mandarin speakers. Both are fluent in Korean, but Chenle is more fluent, which is why he helps Kun with words.
- Kun references how WayV members call him a pig (which is in previous content) and explains he was born in the Year of the Pig.
- Haechan notes that the teddy bears all have good voices - all three of them are main vocalists in their sub-units.
- Haechan references the last all-unit project in 2018 - NCT Empathy. Everyone in this segment participated in it.
Episode 4 (New Members):
- These are the two new members added to NCT: Shotaro and Sungchan. They don't have permanent sub-units yet.
- WayV's Xiaojun, Winwin and NCT Dream's Chenle are watching the segment.
- Shotaro, who is Japanese, is not very fluent in Korean at this point and members often help him understand.
- Shotaro was popular as a dancer on TikTok.
- Haechan's aegyo is a long-running theme in content, which is why Chenle wants him to demonstrate.
- Taeil's aegyo is also a long-running theme.
Episode 5 (The Awkward Bros):
- NCT has an existing web series, It's Awkward, But It's OK, also known as AWASZ, where members who don't know each other well interact, poking fun at the concept that members don't like or know each other. The series is an ongoing joke in content.
- NCT 127's Doyoung and NCT Dream's Renjun appear in an episode of AWASZ that is a running joke through Resonance content.
- NCT Dream's Jeno appeared on an episode with Taeil.
Episode 6 (BaDos):
- WayV's Ten and NCT 127's Taeyong performed on a popular NCT U song together called "Baby Don't Stop," which is what the name BaDoS is referencing.
Episode 7 (JAEJAEz):
- The hosts describe them as gorgeous - both guests are visuals in their respective groups (Jaehyun in NCT 127, Jaemin in NCT Dream).
- Haechan is trying to get Jaemin to say his "sexy" ad-lib that he says in a lot of content but Jaemin won't do it.
- "Americano with Eight Extra Shots" is the beverage Jaemin said he drank in an interview on Idol Room and subsequent interviews. It also shows up in NCT Dream coffee shop content. Americanos come up often in NCT content.
Episode 8 (JokBoZ):
- Sun & Moon lead off the show singing Stevie Wonder's "Lately," which is one of Taeil's favorites and sung in other NCT content (NCT World 2.0) and interviews).
- The guests are NCT 127/Dream's Mark, WayV's Lucas and NCT 127's Jungwoo.
- Winwin is laughing to the side, while Taeyong is sitting in a chair.
Episode 9 (Foreign Swaggers):
- Foreign Swaggers is a long-running joke from when NCT members were in the pre-debut group SM Rookies, about members who were fluent in English: native speakers Mark and Johnny, and extremely fluent Jaehyun who "lived in America for four years."
- In this episode, the Foreign Swaggers are all of the fluent English speakers except for Jaehyun: WayV's YangYang and Ten, NCT 127's Mark and Johnny.
- Haechan references "a cup of coffee," which was a short series of web content with the Foreign Swaggers and Doyoung.
- In the freestyle rap battle, Mark and Yangyang are the main rappers in their groups. Johnny and Ten are sub-rappers. Yangyang, Mark and Johnny all appear on the all-rap song "Misfit" on the Resonance album.
- The word game they play is always challenging for non-native Korean speakers in NCT content. Aside from Taeil, no one in this segment is a native speaker.
Episode 10 (Winwin Love Group):
- NCT's love for the member Winwin is consistent across content since his debut. He was previously in NCT 127 and is now in WayV.
- The guests are Winwin, Lucas, Jungwoo, Mark and NCT 127's Yuta.
