I. Introduction

BDC or BOYS DA CAPO is a three-member boy group who debuted on September 23, 2020 with their mini album Intersection: Belief.

Their name means, “Boys, return to the beginning and start again”. Likely derived from the Italian term da capo used in sheet music, but it also has a symbolic meaning in that they will never forget their roots and continue to put out their best.

II. History

Previously, all three members and Lee Eun Sang were on the survival show, Produce X 101 under Brand New Music. Which ran from May 3rd to July 19, 2019. Sihun was eliminated in episode 11, Seongjun and Junghwan in episode 8. Only Lee Eun-sang made it to the finals, which meant led to him debuting in the group, X1.

Brand New Music decided to take the eliminated members and create a new unit.

A teaser of the three of them was released on October 16, 2019 which announced the name of their group as BDC and revealed their debut date.

They released their special single album Boys Da Capo on October 19 and later held their first fan meeting "BDC 1st FAN MEETING: REMEMBER YOU" at Yonsei University's Centennial Hall.

Their first EP The Intersection: Belief was released on September 23, 2020. Although this was released later than Boys Da Capo, The Intersection: Belief is considered to be BDC's official debut by the group.

BDC made their Japanese debut with their Japanese single Moon Walker which had a Japanese version of Moon Walker and Moon Rider on October 1, 2021. This single was released to various music streaming platforms digitally.
