Trauma therapist. Just opened my own practice last fall. All virtual because the pandemic showed me the joys of working from home and I refuse to go back to an office now. Also, I don't like having a boss. I also facilitate trainings/workshops on the side. That's a recent thing though and although it paid well, I don't think I'll do it regularly unless it's for the same agency. Building a 3-hour workshop from scratch was a bit much for my anxiety and stress levels.

Late but listening to the album now (will watch the mv later). I am REALLY loving the late 90s R&B vibes of Tomorrow and Deja Vu. I need Deja Vu with a live band. That is going to sound amazing! Miracle and Quarter Life are perfect early 00s alt rock. The Killa is so sensual and really well done.
I am a VERY happy MOA. TXT always hits the nostalgia vibe for me over the last few years and I am totally here for it! It's a fresh, updated take on something that feels warm and familiar.
NO SKIPS on this album, as expected from TXT!

The great thing about most ARMY being in their 20s, 30s, 40s, etc is that when people our age like an artist, we generally stick with them for decades to come. Musical tastes don't change as much once you hit the 30+ age range, which is actually the age range of the majority of ARMY because that covers (ages 30- dead).
Also, there's a reason that BSB and NKOTB can still sell out arenas 30 years after their heyday. Their fans grew up and quite a few decided to stick with the groups. ARMY will be the same.

Tastes change, I guess. I think 90s style R&B is making a resurgence. (I'm pretty happy about that because it hits the nostalgia button for me)

Even though the stock price is technically not overvalued and not expensive relative to the company's earnings, i still dont see anyone wanting to buy the company.
JYP doesnt have any prospects for the future. They dont seem to be as diversified as Hybe, SM-KAKAO, etc. Once Twice's extension ends in 2025, what is the future for JYP? NMIXX and Itzy have plateaued as has SKZ in terms of streams and album sales.
I suppose the thought came to me because Bang Sihyuk bailed out Source Music, which also only had a handful of groups and was a bit stagnant. So there's some precedent for bailing out friends. -
I mean why would they? It is such a mess to fix. Buying small companies and changing their culture is easy. With bigger companies you need more time, effort and resources.
Makes sense!

I wonder if this means that he was indeed lying and came clean about it to HSH. She really needs to stop posting things.

This is a general comment and not directed at any specific user. I'm responding to a number of comments throughout this thread and I'm just doing it all in one go.
TLDR: Stating the facts =/= endorsement of or support for Scooter Braun and/or Hybe. It's helpful (but difficult) to learn how to set aside one's emotions and view situations with objective reason.
LONG VERSION:
Nobody in this thread actually likes Scoot Scoot. Just the opposite, in fact. Pretty much everybody hates the man. We just live in and accept the grim reality, to put it bluntly.
Stating the facts of the situation (that Scoot Scoot won't be fired because he's hitting his job performance metrics and is, so far, a valuable business asset to Hybe) =/= defending or supporting Scoot Scoot. This is the same logical fallacy that I've seen often on Twitter with regard to this topic and I'm so baffled about how folks are coming to this conclusion.
I hate Scoot Scoot AND I acknowledge that he's doing his job well and will be kept around because of that AND because he's not done anything that could be considered a fireable offense that would hold up in court should be choose to sue for wrongful termination. Nothing in that previous run-on sentence that I just wrote equates to supporting Scoot Scoot. It's just stating the facts, however objectionable they may be.
It's just looking at things from a legal/business perspective, not co-signing the man's moral positions or religious beliefs (because these factors aren't really going to be considered in a legal/ business framework in this particular instance).
Now, depending on what happens with P-Diddler, some of these things could change because depending on Scoot Scoot's level of involvement, he could be running up against the law or causing damage to Hybe's public image. Right now, he's not. That's unfortunate but this is the truth. It's helpful if one can learn to set one's emotions aside for a moment and view things through an objective lens of reason.
Congrats to anyone who made it to the end of this long reply. 🥳

Only a fool would think he would be kicked out
Scooter is the one making all these deals and connections for Hybe in the US, which is exactly why he was brought on. Now, if he had a Palestinian employee and was harassing the person, then yeah, they could rightfully get rid of him. But that's not what's happening.

Han So Hee is starting to remind me of that Mina girl from AOA...

It's like a really bad version of Homework by Daft Punk.

Their eyes. I connect with idols who have large expressive eyes because they're usually not very good at hiding their emotions and their eyes convey what they actually think and feel. That's much more reliable than words.
I think this happens due to a combination of two things: 1) Me being a therapist and always aware of non-verbal communication and 2) Having C-PTSD makes me extremely hypervigilant to non-verbal cues and I'm particularly hyper sensitive to how people communicate with their eyes and the muscles around their eyes.
My biases are Namjoon, Soobin, and K. All three are shit at hiding their feelings and their eyes say everything. So I trust them more and can allow myself to be emotionally attached to them.

I think they've managed to reach legacy act status. I can't speak for other countries, but in the US, they've somehow gained a lot of fans over the pandemic and during their group hiatus. I think after their initial comeback, they may not chart as well but will still fill stadiums when they tour as a group every five or six years.

Seems like with this deal, HYBE and UMG will collaborate with promoting and marketing artists in North America.
That's a pretty huge deal!
-
My beloved &TEAM has to be written as andTeam a lot of times because you can't use the & for a lot of things. When they collabed with SB19, everyone thought they were just a dance troupe doing backup dancing because the collab was introduced as SB9 + &TEAM and those unfamiliar with the group read it as "SB19 and team." 😭

Honestly, nobody gets to the top in this world without being ok with doing some unethical, questionable, or morally grey things. This includes Bang PD. I doubt he's as naive as what some people think. I'm more curious about what Hybe gets out of this in the long run because they're definitely getting more than just UMG artists on weverse IMO.

Scooter ain't going nowhere. He's objectively a kinda shitty person but he does the job he was hired to do and he seems to be doing it very well. I wonder how much money this deal is worth to Hybe?
