They weren't monopoly anything. 2G KPOP was pretty balance tbh. Groups like T-ARA & KARA were toe to toe with SNSD. SISTAR & BEAST had their own world in GP. Even BEAST got Daesangs when those groups around.

BEAST is just too damn underrated. It is kind of sad that they don't have a company stans to keep their relevance in the past years. Just look at these numbers,

It's been 6 years since their last activities as BEAST yet, they're still up there at #14

Both BEAST & SISTAR have approx 33M Digital Sales as of 2017 (Couldn't find reliable source for now). And both groups were coming from a Non-Big-3 Company!

PS: Beast/Highlight is too underrated

Beast had a bigger peak/hits than either 2PM or SHINee, Just look at these numbers. When people say that Beast was second only to BIGBANG, when it comes to GP & Digital sales, they're not exaggerated. Tho these 3 groups have their own strong points like SHINee Physical sales are 2x bigger than 2PM/Beast. 2PM Individual members are much more popular than SHINee/Beast.

Beast was an Anomaly. Won 3 Daesangs at the time when "The Golden Era of KPOP" (as most people said) happened. Too bad that Beast had no "backed up" from a big company/seniors, and pretty much doesn't have a company stans to keep them Relevant in the past years.

On Rainy Days is like.....the biggest B-Side track in K-POP I think? that song was banned for months yet it charted #4 Annually lol

These songs brought BEAST to another league in the KPOP scene ten years ago. BEAST scores big on the charts and year-end awards.

BEAST won 2 Daesangs in 2011 despite coming from a "Small company" when the superior big 3 groups were around.

People mostly don't know kpop groups beyond big3 for 2nd gen especially for bgs. For ggs i'd say some non big3 ggs r still remembered.

Beast, at one time, were bigger than anyone else Virtually (at least in SK). When it comes to Digitals & GP they were second only to BB.

Speaking of Fiction, this song won Song of the year despite competing with other superior nominees. There were SNSD, T-ara, BB(underperformed), 2NE1, IU etc.

They have similarities in physical sales number, pretty much an equal. yeah, 2PM was def. bigger, in Japan and as an "Individual". BEAST was way ahead in Digital sales, charts, music show wins, and awards. ( a basic feat to determining someone or a group's success)

Cube could've been *bigger* if they know how to managed BEAST properly. BEAST, at one time, was the most successful BG (at least) domestically. BEAST Fiction and On Rainy Days was a major hit. It brought them to another league, yet Cube failed to take the momentum. Instead of giving BEAST another comeback, Cube kept sending them for money and threw the market for months. BEAST next comeback was 1,2 years after.

BEAST almost *outperformed* 2PM in all departments except Individual popularity. 2PM members were such a power-house lol.

BEAST should be make it to the 2011 list. They got two hits, Fiction & On Rainy Days. 2 Daesangs, AOTY & SOTY. Massive digital sales & Top 5 Physical Sales.

T-ARA should be there as well.

Beast were indeed a BEAST back in the day, yet they are so underappreciated nowadays.

SHINee is the most consistent one.

When it comes to Highest popularity, it's between 2PM or BEAST. 2PM members were much more popular, I'd dare to say that they were above BB, Individually. But as a group, idk.... BEAST has 3 Daesangs under their belts, and their digitals were second only to BB.
