Coming from nostradamus themselves who correctly predicted that queencard and spicy would become hits just from listening to the leak (queencard) and teaser (spicy) even tho it wasn’t a popular opinion at the time to say the least (), my final prediction is cake sounds like it has a lot of potential to blow up in this current social media climate. It definitely has that ear worm factor with just a hint of obnoxious repetition to attach itself to your brain, and if jyp plays their cards right i think itzy will make a lot of people eat their words this summer

The stuff they released last year was more typical girl crush but i think their ceo has really found the winning formula for them and fine-tuned their sound/image this year to allow them to naturally showcase both their tough and playful sides and the result is all the more exponentially amazing. Their concept fits them like a glove and coupled with the members’ innate charms and presence and talents it makes them stand out in the sea of girl crush and girl crush-adjacent ggs imo

It’s a nice inoffensive song but the whole time i was just waiting for viva la vida’s chorus to break out in my head lol. I love after like and never had a problem with its use of the sample (confining it into its own secluded sections), which is apparently an unpopular opinion, but for this pepsi song i think integrating cold play’s song’s iconic melody into the main hook didn’t really do it for me
