Actually the NewJeans girls have an AI/IT concept. In Cookie, they stand for an internet website that asks you to accept their cookie. So they take a likable and appealing appearance so that you accept their goddamm internet cookies, supposedly for you own good. But it's just for tracking and advertisement purposes really. It's the English parts that kinda gave that impression imho. But looking at the bigger picture, it just sounds like a song where a girl tries to impress her crush with her charm and sweetness. Maybe Koreans that are not that proficient in English might not notice that some of the phrases are questionable. Also, it doesn't help that most western songs with food metaphors contains a lot of innuendos so this might skew our perception of it.

Sent the song to a friend who is Korean, she thinks that "Cookie" is way less suggestive a lyric in Korean than in English, the Korean lyrics are more "I want you to appreciate my effort, pick me" than anything else
