It's a very good song. I hope they can create a niche for themselves. They should be proud of their hard work.

We just started FiftyFifty seaon 2.0, and now we're already getting rumors of season 3.0?

I can see why fans like to engage in these rivalries. As long as it's just kept to banter, it's pretty fun to see the reactions. I should probably choose sides
Anyway, I agree that first week sales will be more indicative of its true standing. But LSF isn't a nugu group, so I don't know how much more people expect these to grow.

Even on melon too. Doing worse than nmixx all around
The shaman really took offense to that crip walk if this is true.

It was me who predicted the korean flop actually. Specially on melon, it went almost exactly as I predicted (for now).
I predicted (at best) they would struggle to enter top 50. At the very very best do the same as Fromis 9/ TWS (top 30s) in the following days.
Overall I personally thought they would debut around the 80s on the daily chart on melon so 65 is a slightly better result I guess.
For the album sales, i'm not surpised at all. Just at their last korean concert, there was any girls left any more. And people who buy kpop stuff are mostly women. On top of probably losing most of their fandom after the chella disaster.
It was massive scandal guys, and also way to soon for them to comback.
(But those numbers are probably gonna pick up i don’t know to which extent. Bang is an egotic fraud, he likes to inflate numbers. This first day sale is probably the most realistic performance.)
As of now, i think Crazy is gonna fight still for a while in the 50s/30s then probably free fall. Or not stay up there on melon for long and end somewhere in the 60s/70s at best.
That's it.
But they're probably gonna do much better on spotify. Lol. (Scootify oblige ) But i don’t predict that song to have good longevity there as well. It's a flop song, a forgetable underwelming blop at best.
That's it.
You're on the shaman shortlist now

Is the first day even over?
As of 35 minutes ago. Didn't you predict this to be a flop, or was that another Bunny?

Yeah, I mean, these are pretty common I thought. If you go on any non-PH affiliated site, you can find tons just by typing in deepfake. And before they really got cracked down, you can find them on PH too.
Deepfakes are the future, or at least the technology will be. In probably less the 100 years, you won't be able to trust a video just because you see a video. It'll be absolute chaos in some areas. Deepfakng videos, photos, voices, etc better than you could Photoshop an image back in the day. Scary times with the tech. And now that it's out, you know you can't just put it back in the box.

1000 is a good sample size for polling as long as the sample is representative of the total population. There is still the margin of error to consider, but it's only a few percentage points in either direction at 1000, so it's a wash. Good polling is expensive to do, so I don't blame them for just using the standard of 1000.

People can't criticize you for not being able to sing if you don't sing at all
But yes, 2024 has been tremendously underwhelming for these top groups and the newer ones. I honestly don't know how it's come to this, but I hope to see it past. Lots of great songs still get released though by soloists, so it's not the end of the world for K-pop. I just consider it a chalked year unless the last quarter just switches it up for some reason.

If what dethrones "Supernova" is "Crazy" of all songs, I will never trust Korean general public taste again
"Starry Night" is better than "Crazy." I wouldn't expect either to touch "Supernova." Then again, I never though "Supernova" to ever reach its current heights, so I obviously have predictive powers lesser than even a fortune cookie.
-
I'm going to sound like a big hater, but how is this the song that does it? Not "Armageddon," or "Illusion" or any of their other, much better songs? It's "Supernova"? Stop the count. Get someone to look at SME's servers asap
Good for the producers of the song. They really hit a home run I guess. This is why they're paid the big bucks I guess. Or they will be now that they have this to their credits

I had no idea what OP was talking about -- nothing out of the ordinary there, but I deecided to do a quick "X" search anyway. Turns out it's because Kpop fans are performative bigots. Someone from a certain country worked on the song, so now it's the devil's work. The usual "progressive" political BS.
Well, they really did a bad job spreading the message to boycott

Minor bop. I was conflicted in giving it major blop or minor bop status, but I went with minor bop.
I agree that something was missing. During the chorus, I felt like they could've gone up a level in the instrumental. And at the end, when that one person hit a high note, I was expecting SNSD Jessica ad-libs for some reason and was let down when that didn't happen. In fact, I'm listening to a video of Jessica adlibs to sate me.
Very safe song to pre-release with, but it might not be a bad thing considering the scrutiny they were facing. But that's a single vs going for a double discussion, if you get what I mean.
They can't play it safe forever though.

Yeah, NMIXX are better singers than Le Sserafim. I think everyone would agree with that. Their music just isn't as good.
If Le Sserafim are 15-year-old kids reheating patties onto your McDouble, then NMIXX are Michelin chefs baking donuts, throwing the donuts into the trash, dumpster diving to recover the donuts, and then serving them to you with a side of New Jersey tap water.

The best song in the album is Crazier!
But why Hybe is obsessed with short songs? Like every single one of them is short except Chasing Lightning!
We're in sync here.
"Crazier" is the best song, but it's a ballad, and there are tons of much better ballads out there. I put this on the playlist though. This pales in comparison.
How is "Chasing Lightning" the longest thing on this EP? It's not even a song. I just assumed it to be a special introduction to set the mood. Everything else is a total flop. I feel like each of these songs could be filler in something much better.
"Crazy" I had already been dreading from the teasers, but somehow the instrumental was the best part of the song. At least though, I can understand them when they say "all the girls are girling." But it doesn't pump me or anything because just as it sounds like it's going anywhere, "all the girls are girling" comes up and deflates the song.
"1-800-hot-fun" just sounds okay at best. Unfortunately, the song is in English, so I compared it to other English songs, and this just comes off as mediocre at that point.
The worst song is "Pierrot." During the song, I thought to myself that this sort of sounds like western rap, and when I put it in that frame of reference, the entire song collapsed. They can't rap, and the beat is lame. That was amateur hour.
Overall, a flop EP.

It's a total flop. The first is a very long time for Le Sserafim. It screams filler track.
If you remove the group's vocals, the track will not lose in quality, on the contrary, I think the instrumental version will sound better.
The same thought crossed my mind while listening to this.

In many places? Yes. K-pop's issue is that Korea is small, and it speaks Korean. Nobody but Korea speaks Korean. So countries can easily just adapt K-pop elements into their own domestic audience and focus on just the domestic crowd. It's not like Japan where countries besides America and China really don't want to compete in spaces like video games. Everyone wants to at least own their domestic market.
