so i was looking at new jeans' instagram story as usual. i was looking extra close at the one of danielle cause i thought she was pretty, but then i noticed how weird her shoulder looked. like i don't think it's possible for a shoulder to look like that. is it ai? thoughts? here is a screenshot i took but i think the story is still up on their new instagram
-
yeah why was wony not invited
-
yeah i'm wondering that too. i hope she sings more than she raps in it, she has such a pretty singing voice.
i feel like it would be cool if it was a horror concept since she likes tim burton

i mean honestly if some people don't care about this issue and care more about twice's comeback i see no problem with that. you can't force people to care about things, or try to morally police them into it.
but yes, i think it is wrong that some are trying to tell other people who do care about the vcha issue not to care

- They came down criticizing it for being overly Japan-inspired, and it turns out they’re a Japanese group.”
- “Ah, I’m not buying this.”
- “So it’s a Japanese group? No wonder I thought it was so Japanese.”
- “I was like, ‘Why is there Japanese?’ and it turns out it’s a Japanese group.”
- “I’m a total otaku too, but what’s with this overdose of Japan worship?”
- “Can’t they make idols without riding on K-pop’s coattails?”
- “It feels like Evangelion.”
- “It’s like a downgraded version of aespa and IVE.”
- “Wow, I was shocked after watching the video at the end. The quality… It’s worse than something high schoolers would make;;” Docomo probably has a lot of money, so what happened to the quality?”
- “They’re Japanese, aren’t they? The Japanese vibe is so strong.”
- “It kind of reminds me of NewJeans.”
- “They’ve mashed together a ton of IVE and aespa’s stuff, lol.”
- “I thought the name sounded Japanese, and it turns out they’re all Japanese? Just stay active in Japan. Our country is so eager to help Japan out; it’s ridiculous.”
- “I had a feeling it was Japanese, and it turns out it really is.”
- “Japanese groups aren’t my thing…”
- “Why are we doing them such a favor? Just stick to using Korean.”
- “People who love Japanese aesthetics will go nuts for this.”
- “There are too many girl groups coming out; it’s getting tiresome.”
- “It has a Japanese vibe.”
- “The concept is good, but why so much Japanese? Oh, turns out they’re just a Japanese group.”
- But why debut on 12/31? If they debuted just a week later, it would be a different debut year.”
- “XG was made the same way—stealing K-pop talent and methods, lol. Whatever… Nobody cares here anyway. Just go make a lot of money in Japan.”
-
Have you guys heard about Cosmosy? Apparently they are debuting on dec 31st.

So blackpink's creative director is working with them, along with other people who worked with ive, aespa, lesserafim. I think they're planning on promoting in Korea, which the knets are mad about.

i first got into kpop in january of 2018. so 2018-2019 is very nostalgic for me.
i am also very nostalgic for 2021/2022 kpop. there were such good songs coming out
-
i remember i was up all night listening to this when it came out. i was literally so excited
-
i used to listen to them a lot in 2019. they remind me of spring
these songs specifically

I've ended up on some dodgy forums and boys are definitely too embarrassed to follow kpop. Even when talking about female idols it's never about the music but their bodies and faces. Since they don't want to sexualise men they can't follow boy groups.
yeah i definitely agree with this. boy groups are never something a straight guy could even admit to liking because people know kpop is so centered around obsessing over the members and stuff, so it would make a guy feel weird if he did like it.
but yeah most american guys wouldn't even check kpop out, let alone boy groups. every guy i know calls it cringe lol

i wonder if minheejin ever wanted to be an idol
