On the old forum just before revamp threads would be locked for trolling, baiting and fighting (yes it’s true!)
This has been removed after the revamp to enhance “discussion, not to mention clicks and traffic and thus revenue
So while we the wee donkeys battle here every day, somewhere above the clouds someone earn koins on all that (real ones that is unlike the akp fantasy currency)

Yes, its sad the user left but no one bullied her as some make it out to be. I have known many users who have faced worse personal attacks on a thread they dared to post in, been name called and abused but still stuck around. There are many users who left AKP without a brouhaha hurt after how their faves were being attacked or they themselves were attacked. Its not something that has not happened before and pretty much every fandom has had been either at the receiving end or the giving end.
Its good that you are trying to be objective and not lumping everyone into a "cult" or taking a moral high ground.
Your definition of bullying is different from someone else's definition of bullying so while you might not see it the same way the OP did in that thread, doesn't mean the OP didn't feel bullied or targetted.
But I agree with the rest of your point, every fandom does this.

The fixation that some have with a particular fandom is a disease at this point but well... here you go. Enjoy this while I revel in the usual two facedness at display be it in the thread below or elsewhere. I don't how the Kpop community would survive without dumping on a fandom and a group. Lol

People from all different fandoms have commented on this thread so I fail to see what you're talking about. I only mentioned that incident (not naming anyone) as it's one that sticks out to me about the negatives on this site.

That specific one I remember. It was such a harmless thread something about national titles or something, and there were people coming in to question if the user was a true fan because he/she didn't mention certain achievements.
Yes it's this one, I remember viewing the thread as a guest and I could not understand why people were being so aggressive just because they forgot an achievement and it wasn't just 1 or 2 users
but as mentioned before the positive was that lots of people left really nice comments too...but the user had already left by then

we are probably thinking of the same thing it didn't happen too long ago, something to do with their post forgetting to mention some achievements or something like that? I felt so bad for that user

Trolling is definitely worse now, for context any thread i made was instantly locked in the old forum.
But that user is right in that mods were biased on who they allowed to troll, as a result you would get the same 2 users constantly trolling ( SeulgisAbs for one) on the old forum whilst now anyone can troll.
at least you are honest about your trolling

Positive: Seeing positive threads about artists, as well as respectful comments when people don’t like a song/dance etc. I also love talking to my friends in the guild, and talking to amazing people in general.
Negative: Sadly, there are a lot of negative things I have encountered here. Some of them being blatant bullying, as well as shading and teasing. It hurts me to see users be ganged on for no reason, especially when they haven’t done anything to deserve it. I’ve seen this a lot, and it makes me extremely upset. I also don’t like how some people are so defensive even when you talk highly of their faves. You could literally say “omg (insert fave name) literally slayed!” And someone would say something shady even when you’re praising them. I’ve seen that happen before and it’s really frustrating. The fanwars also really tick me off, as well as the trolling that happens on the daily basis.
One of the saddest things I remember seeing on here was one user leaving because a bunch of other users decided to gang up on them over something so harmless and little and wasn't even offensive at all. Sad thing was they were all apart of the same fandom so no one is safe on here! Its all to do with cult mentality, bullying, and gatekeeping.
On the positive though, lots of people left really kind messages in the same thread so I don't know if the user came back or not.
The thing about people being defensive even if you praise their fave it's all about gatekeeping. They want to gatekeep who is allowed to comment on their fave and who is allowed to be in the fandom.

Positive: The ability to find out things I would never have the energy or desire to find out. Kpop fans work 24/7 to spread news.
Negative: The trolling, the old forum had biased mods who picked and chose who was allowed to troll, the current forum doesn't seem to care at all about these types of threads.
I keep hearing stuff about mods on the old forum but I heard the trolling was way worse before. Do you think it's better now?

I've been here on and off since 2016 and to be perfectly honest I can't name any positive experiences, only negative ones including certain fandoms and the constant scraps and power struggles that go with it. I still come here though as I'm a glutton for punishment.
No wait a minute, the only positive experience was some of the nice users that left some time ago.
You don't have one positive experience? That made me feel sad...
