Also, I see a lot of people saying KPOP rappers are bad and KPOP vocalists are bad, KPOP songs are rarely catchy (literally said this), KPOP songs are trash etc

I don't see why you downplay KPOP so much and then go on and spend time on KPOP forums?

Sometimes it's very baffling to see this. It doesn't even make sense at all.

My point is,

Lot of you are very selective on what you say about different groups/artists.

I'm not gonna read this whole thread, but I don't understand what you guys don't understand? There are some average idols since forever and 90% of them were not successful independent of its talent. So this is something already established in the industry. It's not something easy to change. Lookism were always a thing in SK and where do kpop came from? Yes... And let's not act like 70% of ours own countries industry is not full of beautiful people. It's not just in K-pop. It's everywhere.

I also don't think it's wrong, minus the gross ones. And I think people really forget that some idols like to be sexual, they literally have the sexy vibe on some moments. I think the problem is that people are more accepting about babying idols than sexualizing idols. Both sides are problematics at some points. I prefer to see an adult as an adult than a baby. Accept guys, some idols love to be called sexy, they act sexy on purpose. Just be respectful. And there is the stigma about kpop in general, it's like you're committing a crime if you see an adult as an adult...
