I always find it odd when someone brags about any kind of 4th gen records.

I dont believe any group have truly made any kind of impact so far (at lease in comparison to BP/Twice/BTS/EXO) so their "records" feels so damn hollow imo.

These girls have no personal brand they can go to when their idol life is done. AT this point, I dont think the company allows for this to happen. I can understand if one or two are frustrated with the Twice group brand over the individual brand some of their peers have (most notably BP members).

4th gen

Pros: Riding the BTS/BP wave (mostly BTS)

Cons: Existing in the same time as prime BTS

When they do maybe they can finally do hip-hop again (in Korean PLEASE!)

Im not a BTS fan but because they are the biggest group ever, I keep an eye on them.

I love Dynamite but the other two.. not so much. Their latest English release is... not good imo. It feels forced for some reason. I blame Ed Sheeran. I hate, HATE using the term generic but its the best word to describe his music. He has not evolved in ten years.

It will most likely be a BTS daesang sweep once again this year.

Nomination is looking likely for them but a win will be hard. Maybe award shows will finally get tired of giving the grand prize to one group but I sure hope not.

JYPE really fucked them over by not giving them any kind of individual brand power. No social media accounts, no solo careers, etc. It's all as they planned. It's easier to pull away from the group if you have those things much like a BP member. Each has their social media accounts/solo careers that can pretty much set their careers for life. That's not the case for Twice. If they were to not renew, I think its more likely they won't renew as a group ala Got7
