I’m incredibly nosy tbh

I know the bigger idols are pulling in millions

But how much does like a mid tier idol get? Could they afford to buy a home?

Maybe like Itzy, gidle, are they all millionaires?

Do you believe idols should be allowed to post with their significant others, and be seen with them/open about them? Or do you agree with company rules that idols need to not date or keep their relationships hidden?

And why is it different from idols to western celebs?

Two complete opposite ends, western celebs promote dating and will often date for clout/publicity while Korean celebs keep it hidden until it’s “exposed” or someone gets knocked up

I don’t think any of the members of Blackpink deserve actual hate, but they do deserve to get pointed about their lack of trying, and whatever the hell is going on with them these days

Celebrities get hate no matter what,

You can’t have your cake and eat it, they will always be a catch

For her to be a rich mega star and the highest status K-pop idol in the world, she also will have a bunch of people who don’t like her, or are not big fans

It’s really not that deep, not everybody needs to ass lick her,

She’s a nearly 30 year old woman with too much money in her bank account to care. She doesn’t need y’all defending her or treating her like some vulnerable little child every 5 seconds

I think blinks really need to accept that not everybody worships your faves, they will ALWAYS be haters. Every group has them + the bigger tbe group + the more haters they attract

I feel like everybody wants to become an idol , there’s so many people and groups coming out literally every single week

It’s not comparable to the west, because the western world has a much bigger population + takes on people from every inch of the globe

Korea has a declining population, and most schools are shutting down,

Now obviously I doubt that too many people are debuting as idols, that it’s causing a problem

But, for a country with 51 million,

The under 25 population takes up about 27%

How many young people are left to become doctors or whatever?

There’s literally like 500+ active idols , not including trainees + those who work in the industry +

Does the concept of “A-list” exist in K-pop? Who counts as an A-list?

Are all big 4 groups “a lists”

There’s China, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand,

But no other countries, the only person I think of is Hanni or whoever the Vietnamese member is in newjeans

There’s lots of south East Asians who fit into the Korean standards, so how come outside Thailand, it’s rare for K-pop idols to be from there?

they had a few hits, but never made it “mainstream” big, I’m not sure about their fame in Korea, but it wasn’t complete nugu there? ( I believe) but they weren’t on the level of like gfriend

Were they like WJSN tier? Or very nugu?

Where do you see Itzy in 5 years? The girls will be late/mid twenties , and would been in the industry for 10+ years. Will they be still be successful?

Why don’t foreign K-pop idols who are genuinely talented try move to America to become famous, instead of moving to korea?

They have to fit into a new culture/country/language regardless, so why doe they choose Korea where it’s extremely difficult, not that awarding and limited vs America where yes it’s rare to get famous as a non western born Asian, the chance is still a tiny bit there, and the money/fame is INSANE.

Plus, some end up moving to America anyway long term

They had it all basically, and honestly as much I hate most of 4th gen music, newjeans had some genuine tunes.

No corny raps, no corny “imma bad b” , no weird ass music videos, nothing. (Ignoring cookie, which if the meaning wasn’t weird, it still would of been a great song)

They were suppose to hit big. They did hit big, tbh I’m still confused about the drama with their agency and whatever
