A few reasons

1. Most of the roles they have gotten/will get are due to nepotism not talent. They know the right people,l

2. Sadly Asians are still underrepresented in Hollywood and there just isn’t really a space for them outside of the “side character”.

3. Neither of them come off as actors. Jennie did great in the idol, but I think that’s as far as it goes, I can’t imagine her carrying a movie or being the main star in her own tv show.

4. Lisa, well we haven’t seen her act yet, but truthfully I doubt it’s going to be some snow stopping performance, it’ll probably just be her playing as herself (like always)

Also I don’t think either of them are prioritising it, they seem to be chasing more western music success vs in the acting industry

But, naturally, she’ll outshine the members regardless

There’s a lot of K-pop idols who debuted at like 14/15, and I don’t doubt there’s exploitation going on, but how come most idols seem pretty normal?

Obviously we only see what they show, but unlike Hollywood stars where a lot of mega stars end up having breakdowns at like 25+, we haven’t really seen that in Kpop (of course there has been instances, but it’s not the norm

But how come they release their music in the same months?

There’s no real rapping, they are just yelling loudly, and there’s nothing unique or interesting, EVERY group is doing the exact same thing now.

Newjeans is in a similar age range, and are actually doing somewhat appropriate music (if we exclude cookie)
