But i hate the video used. High notes compilation gets annoying no matter how good it is. I love Taeyeon’s singing overall especially her earlier days. I still like her voice now but it’s so much higher and thin which I realize is an intentional style she’s going with in her newer songs. Because when she sings old songs she sound as amazing as I can remember.

Honestly the moment I saw their picture I thought so to and I don’t know anything about the hype. They have a very good looking synchronized hot group look. Then I found out they have Bailey as a member (she’s already the best Kpop dancer imo)and that Ella girl. Yeah this group is definitely interesting.

Same year and I immediately understood that sentence 😭
It’s traumatic I used to close my eyes till that scene ends so I can watch the song when it’s on TV (wow the fact I am speaking about MV on Tv is already hitting the boomer detector).

The second outfit is worse. I don’t see how the first outfit is compared to a table cloth. When I put tablecloths I use beige and white colors. I guess every time someone wore a plain beige or white dress it would be like a tablecloth too.

I don’t care about the drama, I just want to hear more of them. Their voices are priceless.
Imagine a group name “Cupid” lol and a song called fifty fifty.

Thank you. i subscribed.
People here saying it's mostly fanwar etc that people respond to are right, but it's also because that invites more conversation.
If someone posts a song that everyone likes, the most people will say about it is: "It's great"
Once that had been said, nothing else happens.
With a fanwar or other type of more negative discussion, people will leap to the defense of something and attack in return. So often two people can go at it for many comments long as they want to have the last word. They might like a song more than a fanwar, but there is just less incentive to make a second post than when someone quotes you saying: "You're wrong! Your faves are flops because..."
When you put it like this, it makes me question what I was even thinking.
I guess the lack of engagement in other threads obviously also goes back to activity of the site. Some K forums like theqoo don’t face these problems because they are active. The community share regular Kpop stuff and if it’s good enough it generates popular content.
I should probably stop depending entirely on AKP for my Kpop consumption.

Nothing in particular but like when I open TikTok for example I see interesting Kpop things pop up because the community there shares anything they perceive as good then depending on how good it is, it creates something viral (but discussion wise, I hate the comments format so I don’t stay there long enough).
In contrast when I go to AKP all I see are threads about charts and achievements (not that those are bad, it is just that they are the only ones with engagements). I am here just venting and wondering why something gets engagement because it’s good in some platforms while other pfs don’t work that way. I feel like the AKP forums is becoming more like the AKP site. Just reporting records and controversies with comments under it.

I know I am saying something super obvious but I just want to vent.
I like the Forums format because we can post different mediums like a YT video and a long text. But the forums have become nothing but discussing success not what makes this success.
It’s a shame because if someone makes a thread sharing any good/interesting/fun Kpop video/song, none of us here would bother to watch but if I shared the same thing and said it’s something that is going viral, everyone is interested.
Like these platforms (mostly TikTok because Twitter only creates controversies) that have a video go viral must have actual people that are engaging.
These TikTok videos go viral or become popular because they are good. Why can’t the same thing happen here? Someone sharing anything and the thread gets decent engagement (at least the same engagement chart threads get) because of the shared content’s quality? What makes the TikTok community normal?
